“Highly recommended”
We enjoyed our stay in la chakana very much. The kitchen is well equiped and clean, why we cooked a lot compared to other hostels. We loved reading books in the lovely garden as well as having chats with host lucie and other guets. The longer way to town was no problem but a nice 15 minutes walk. Or 3-4 soles with motortaxi.

“Peaceful home from home”
It is a peaceful home from home where you are left alone yet never abandoned. Everything was clean, comfortable, with homely touches and charm. My room was also very reasonable and it had a good kitchen/diner.

“Rustic, charming, friendly, well equipped.”
The manager was extremely kind & helpful. The kitchen was beautiful & as good as my kitchen in my own home. The whole place was rustic and charming and felt like home. We loved it. It was very cool there because of the type of building and time of year & because we came from a warm country, but the beds had electric blankets and lovely big duvets with lovely cotton bedding and soft pillows. I would go back 100%.

La Chakana was a GREAT stay! Steven is a great host and was always available on WhatsApp. the location is amazing, with great views, a bit away from the town, which we loved. rooms were big, beds were comfortable!

La Chakana is away from the center of Pisac but close enough to walk with great views of the ruins and mountains. Amazing communal kitchen and rooms are spacious (appreciate the heating pads! for chilly nights).

Great location. Super friendly staff, Steven is a sweetheart and take care of both place and cats with lots of love. Loved my room and cute kitchen! Perfect walk 20 min down to Pisac by the small river.

There was a nice big kitchen. The whole space was very spiritual and quiet. The people were very very nice and the beds/ rooms were amazing.

It was very relaxing and peaceful, the room was also very beautiful. Everything was clean and we had no problem with the shower, we always had warm water. The mattress can be electrically warmed up. The kitchen was fantastic, very well equipped, it was really nice to cook there everyday. Pisac is 20 minutes on foot or a few minutes with tuk tuk (3 soles) away.
