Overview
A large beer garden, a small indoor pool and 2 saunas are offered at this peaceful hotel. It lies 2.5 km from Pirna and 6 km from the A17 motorway. Traditional Saxon cuisine is served at the Hotel Zur Post. Guests can eat in the restaurant or conservatory. Satellite TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer are standard at the Zur Post. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, and some rooms also include a balcony. A bowling alley and table tennis are provided, and horse riding can be organised on site. Guests can also simply relax in the large garden with pond. Kamelienschloss Castle is 850 metres away. Within 3 km are the Geibeltbad Pirna swimming baths and the DDR Museum. “A very comfortable place for dinner, bed and breakfast for cyclists.”
Very welcoming, with secure bike parking. Spacious room with all the facilities you would expect. Comfortable bed and very quiet, so a good night’s sleep. Dinner was good quality as was breakfast. Both reasonably priced. Not cheap but good food and service. We were given free transport tickets for buses etc automatically. We didn’t use them but a good idea.

Nice base for sightseeing the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Good food, quiet rooms and free bus tickets offered to reach the city of Pirna or Bastei Bridge.

Very friendly staff. Perfect location to visit nearby Dresden. Pirna is a pretty little town and the hotel is on the outskirts of town, easy to reach and has plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are nice, big and clean. Breakfast is good and plenty.

“A bit old world charm but nice/clean hotel. Even had a small sauna & pool.”
We were pleasantly surprised by the availability of a sauna & swimming pool. (Although we only had little time & was only able to use the sauna but not the pool). The food at the restaurant was also quite good. (Thumbs up)

The staff was very unfriendly. I waited 30 min on the terrace to get a drink. I went inside to ask the waiter. He was very rude, told me it was closed. Last order should have been 20:30 and I asked at 20:15. When I told him I don’t like his tone, he told me to go someplace else.
