Located in the center of Piombino, Albergo Italia storico offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The hotel has a freight elevator / lift to suit your needs. Historic hotel It is 200 meters from the Castle of Piombino and 2 km from the port, which connects the city to the Island of Elba. “The Best Place to Stay in Piombino, Italy”
Our experience with Albergo Italia was outstanding. We feel this hotel is the best accommodation one can have in Piombino. It offers a wonderful ambiance, a great breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, the staff is absolutely the best, it is less than a hundred meters from the downtown pedestrian zone and restaurants, it is a 5-10 minute drive to the ferries, and parking is a breeze if you are driving.

Great place in the old center of town. In the ZTL but the host registered my vehicle to be able to access. Garage available but I parked my motorbike on the street without problems. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room

“Disappointing”
I stayed one night (room 2) on the ground floor. The room, while a single, was no bigger than a prison cell with no natural night from a difficult to open balcony door off of it. While the bathroom was small the shower has incredible poor pressure and seemed more like a tripping tap. Overall, poor room quality and poor shower quality. To top it off an EUR8.00 breakfast was certainly out of the question. For one night (at EUR 66.00) it served its purpose however anything longer would require serious consideration. I cannot imagine paying Summer prices for that type of room.

“A place I've written down in my "places to return" diary.”
We just needed a night on our way from Elba to Florence airport. We discovered a lovely hotel. Feels like visiting a relative who took a lot of care to prepare your room. Great breakfast for the price of 8 euros.

“The best hotel in Piombino”
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Piombino. It is close to all main attractions, restaurants, the train station, the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are nice, polite and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious and met our expectations, it was not only sweet things, we enjoyed some ham, salami and cheese. The coffee machine is Nescafe, the coffee was great.

“Ideal stop before the ferry to Elba.”
We arrived very late due to airport hold up and the owner stayed up to welcome us. Friendly staff excellent breakfast.

Excellent location in the city center, possibility of parking in the garage even in the limited traffic area, spacious room, air conditionning which was very welcome in the hot weather. Nice staff.

“Nice Hotel with a lot of Charm”
The hotel is right in the middle of old town, very convenient for shopping and dining. The owner was very friendly and gave us a great welcome and explanation. Everything worked out fine, and we have enjoyed the stay. The hotel is cozy and has a very warm atmosphare with a charm.

“Quaint family-runnrd hotel”
Highly convenient location. It is on a quiet street in old Town, only 5 min walk to train station. Breakfast was abundant and varied, and rooms were clean with an old world charm. Polite staff. Would definitely stay again!
