The hosts were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. The location in Pinnawala is ideal.

The hosts were so kind, I felt like I was visiting my favorite aunt! It's obvious the hotel was designed with love and they really care about you! Breakfast included toast with butter and jam, fried eggs, sausages, amazing pancakes, and fruit with tea! Elephant Street is just a minute's walk away. I highly recommend staying here!

They’ve Been running this place for 50 years and it ticks all the boxes. Clean comfortable functional well located. Good breakfast helpful and friendly owners. We visited the millennium elephant trust and it was a good experience

“Comfortable room”

Lovely host, room was very clean and we felt comfortable and safe in this accommodation. Seconds away from where the elephants cross the road in the morning on their way to the river. Really well located, tucked away in a green area near the high street.

“Nice peaceful place with good breakfast.”

We booked this at short notice due to an unexpected cancellation. It is very good value for Pinawala, and is both clean and comfortable. The location is close to the Elephant Orphanage, but the wider landscape is definitely worth exploring, as is the cultural museum just up the road. The breakfast was good with a choice of Srilankan and more Western style breakfasts ( I recommend the Srilankan) the kitchen is well equipped if you want to prepare your own food.

“Very good value for money”

Bed and bathroom are comfortable. Location is perfect to see the elephant bathing.

The host served Sri Lankan meals, in time. They were even helping to get to the train station

The owners are very nice people. They seem to work for customer’s satisfaction and happiness rather than for money. And breakfast is Great.

The property is located right next to the Elephant Orphanage. It’s clean, the home is a well designed and maintained home with a little garden. Excellent, helpful and resourceful hosts. Enjoyed their company and conversations.

“A very good accommodation with very nice and generous hosts!”

We got a bright and nice room on the top floor with a long L-shaped balcony, patio, a/c, fan, good wifi, a bottle of cold drinking water, bathrobes, large towels, bath mat and a large and very comfortable bed. The room's furnishings are generous and well thought out. The bathroom is quite large, has well-functioning hot water and plenty of shelves and hooks/holders. Everything is very clean and nice, without any signs of damp. The fantastically good and generous breakfast (with freshly brewed "fine coffee"!) is served in the nice kitchen on the middle floor. There are a total of 6 rooms (2 smaller, of which we stayed in one, and 4 larger) and there are plenty of seating areas etc. under cover outside the rooms. Everything feels very spacious and nice. There is also a private parking in the courtyard. The host couple are very friendly, generous and flexible! There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We will be happy to come back here! PS: We actively did chose not to visit The Elephant Orphanage… Please read their reviews before a possible visit.
