“A wonderful experience”

Watching the elephants was magical. Andrew, his son and the other staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. The room was clean the location amazing.

This was our first stay after arriving in Sri Lanka, and we truly loved everything about it. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, we were even given the option to choose the room we preferred (probably because it wasn’t very busy and several rooms were available). For a small extra fee, we upgraded to a wonderful room with a beautiful view of the elephants. Andrew was especially helpful—he gave us useful tips, took great care of us during our stay, and even gave our children small souvenirs when we left. They absolutely cherish them and carry them everywhere. We would happily come back again!

Location is poor

Staff is so nice. They made sure our stay is very comfortable. Will definitely recommend it to my friends. 10/10 stay

“Everything was perfect !”

Everything was perfect. Manager Andrew is very nice person who helps you with everything. The place was clean and calm. You can relax there and forget busy life. The location is also perfect, because you can watch the elephants while having breakfast or enjoying the pool. I highly recommend this place. It is worth it!

Good calm place sureonded by wild nature. We had breakfast with the view of elephants washing in the river. It was great.

Fantastic location close to the bathing site of the elephants. Peacock Hotel is a short tuk tuk drive away from the main hotel where we had breakfast and ate our meals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Sitting down and watching the elephants bathe was a real treat.

Cottage was really nice And close to the river where were elephants. You can go to the swimming pool And watch elephants with a beer. Highly recommended.

“Perfect accommodation to visit elephant orphanage”

I had a nice and clean room with AC and a balcony. Hosts where very welcoming. Location is in the walking distance from the orphanage, but the host is always available with a tuktuk in case you need a ride. Breakfast and a pool are in the another hotel (which is directly above the elephants bathing place) 300 meters away to which a tuktuk ride is provided.

The staff

Even for just one night, it was a perfect stay! The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always has a smile on their face. The chalet is top-notch and spotlessly clean. Plus, the tuk-tuk service is super convenient. I highly recommend this hotel

Nice accomodation in a garden, very nice people, that took us for breakfast in tuc-tuc, hotel restaurant with a view to the river was amazing...

Nice little room overlooking the fields. Owner is very very helpful, providing good information and free rides to and from the elephant bathing site and the elephant park restaurant directly next to it! Can definitely recommend!

Lovely and peaceful treetop hideaway with free access to a nearby pool and restaurant. The owners are very friendly and always available to give lifts

I stayed in Pinawala for 2 nights, and would like to say big thank you to Andrew and his son, they make sure that my stay will be as much comfortable as it possible, very friendly staff in general, especially lady that leave in property, unfortunately I don’t know her name, but thanks to her she bring fresh picked jackfruit from garden. Breakfast was decent and elephants is just next to you while you having breakfast. Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30. Room is spacious, I stayed villa #1, it looking better in life than on photos. There is kettle, tea, water, small shower toiletries, and clean, nice smelling bed sheets. In general villa is super clean, no smell from severe, no mold. There is tv, but is not smart, however I connect my laptop with HDMI and use it as extended screen to watch my previously downloaded on laptop serial. WiFi is very weak, but I think is in general connection in this area is weak, because even my mobile internet was working very bad, so if you are nomad and need to work, that would be not possible. The rest was just perfect, Andrew organised for me trip to Elephant orphanage when you have possibility to feed, wash, ride elephant. Trip cost 50$, and I do believe this money is going for care about elephants, when I was visiting I saw one of elephants was injured and people who working that place was looking after him and take care. So please instead of giving money to people who proposing make pictures and videos next to elephants, go to this orphanage, give your money for ticket and enjoy being with this beautiful creatures 🤩❤️.

“Amazing”

Such a nice place to stay. We stayed in cottage by small lake and it was fab. Manager Andrew was very helpful and he pick up/drop off us to bus/ train how we need. Amazing big breakfast. Watching the elephants during day and end of the day big baths. All amazing.

The staff are amazing. Beautiful people. We could not have been happier here. I would recommend 2 nights here to do the elepant program and see the sights. In those 2 nights we were well and truly taken care off. 100%.

“Sleeping very peacefully”

The hotel I booked before only allows check-in at 4:00 pm (early entry will be charged), and it would completely miss the elephant bathing time. Here, you only need to arrive at noon to drop off your luggage, and the owner can take you to see the elephants. Do you know how quiet his cabin is? It's a world away from the hotels I stayed at before, （avoid：Hotel elephant bay ）where groups of tourists often stayed and partied until 1:00 am, making it extremely noisy. This place is definitely suitable for families and those who like peaceful countryside Their small wooden cabin has a refrigerator, which is very important during the hot summer. It even comes with a kitchen. The owner will take you to another hotel for breakfast. The name of this hotel is （hotel elephant Park）You can watch the elephants while eating. Don't worry about the distance between hotels. The boss has a tuk-tuk, and he will wait for you both on the way there and back
