“Cafe Pinnalanda”
Very friendly, good breakfast, and option to have dinner up to 5.30 pm, which was very usefull, as limited eating places nearby. Owner transported us free of charge to and from the Elephant Freedom Project (recomended!) Homestay is right opposite the Elephant Orphanage entrance.

“Good choice if you’re visiting the Pinnawala area!”
We had a great stay at Pinnalanda Hotel! The location was perfect — just a short walk to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Pinnawala Zoo. There were also several nice restaurants nearby, which made it really convenient for meals. The hotel had a large parking lot, which was a big plus for us since we were traveling by car. Definitely a good choice if you’re visiting the area!

“Caffe Pinnalanda – A Hidden Gem in Pinnawala”
I had a wonderful stay at Caffe Pinnalanda, located right in front of the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It’s a perfect location for visitors, with the added convenience of free parking just outside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. The room was air-conditioned, very clean, and came with a large, comfy bed. There was also hot water, a clean and well-maintained bathroom, and even a television for added comfort and relaxation. The Sri Lankan breakfast was really good — tasty, authentic, and satisfying. For all the comfort and convenience provided, the pricing was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. If you're planning a visit to Pinnawala, I highly recommend staying here. It’s peaceful, clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The location is very good and it's just opposite the Elephant Orphanage. Breakfast and Lunch (Asian Food) excellent. It's a little spicy, but nice.

Very clean, spacious room, big bathroom, only there’s no hot hot water but it was ok of taking quick shower, comfortable bed, AC, very close to river where elephants taking a shower. Across the street is elephant orphanage. Sri Lankan breakfast very tasty.
