Excellent location for Pingyao, near where taxis can drop off and also quiet, though just round the corner from the the main pedestrian streets. Very courteous and helpful staff who organised pick up and drop off from the railway station. Very quaint setting round a lovely courtyard, but comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms.

What a fantastic stay! We landed in the middle of nowhere in this charming little town in China where literally nobody spoke English, and we were honestly a bit lost. But the moment we walked into Elsewhere Hotel, the manager and his amazing team turned everything around. They genuinely cared, sat down with us like old friends, and guided us through all the best trips and hidden gems we never would have found on our own. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. The hotel has nice little courtyards where you can sit on sunny days. The staff organised pick up and drop of from the trainstations and gave us were to go and what to see.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her staff. The structure is in the heart of the city, and has an enchanting internal cloister. The rooms are large and equipped with every comfort. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower. We felt at home and really appreciated the owner's hospitality and friendliness. We will definitely return.

The courtyard with the rooms around it was really lovely, well designed and very well kept. A cute kitten was around, providing entertainment! The breakfast room and entrance were equally very nice, a mix of modern and classic with a nice touch of design. Staff was very friendly.

The rooms are clean and hygienic, and it's quiet when you go to sleep. The restaurants in the ancient city recommended by the hotel staff are of good cost performance. The food there is delicious and not expensive at all. It's really a great choice and a wonderful check-in experience!

The inn is in a great location. It has two courtyards in total, one in the front and the other in the back. With Chinese-style decoration, it's quite distinctive. The breakfast is really nice. All in all, it's a wonderful experience.

The location of the inn is really excellent. The rooms are clean and it's quite convenient to travel around. The butler service is very considerate, patient and explains in detail the scenic spots for visiting in the ancient city. All the delicious foods recommended are great. There are small snacks when you check in and small gifts when you check out. I will still choose this inn next time I come here.

“PingYao nice hotel”

It's a courtyard with two sections. The decoration combines modernity and simplicity, and the small courtyard is really beautiful. Lying on the rocking chair at night, a sense of leisure arises spontaneously. The inn is also very clean, and the sound insulation effect is excellent, which is especially suitable for people like me who don't have good sleep quality. What's a pity during this trip is that the time was too rushed. I only stayed for one day and still felt that I hadn't had enough. It's really nice and highly recommended!
