Just next to Xietongqing Unincorporated Bank Museum, Pingyao Baichanghong Hotel is a paper-cut-themed guest house located right in the heart of Pingyao County, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has paper-cut teaching and a gift shop on site. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Baichanghong Hotel Pingyao is a 10-minute walk from Chenghuang Temple and Bar Street. It is a 10-minute drive from Pingyao Railway Station, and it takes 1 hour 10 minutes from Taiyuan Wusu International Airport to the property. “Perfect bridge to ancient China—incredible hospitality, tasty local food, only 3 hours from BeiJing”
The location is unbeatable and the place is sparkling clean. But the highlight for me was the breakfast—it’s a fantastic way to sample multiple authentic local dishes in one go. Also, a huge shoutout to the hosts! They are incredibly warm and went above and beyond. I accidentally left my laundry in the machine, and the hostess not only hung it out for me but even offered to iron it. I was so touched by such thoughtful service!

“Perfect location to start your Pingyao discovery”
Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.
