The resort is absolutely wonderful. Lisa and the entire staff made us feel at home throughout our stay. Lisa was especially helpful, providing great information about the surrounding areas. Our room was amazing, very spacious and clean. Housekeeping came three times a day, including an evening turndown service, which was a lovely touch. Lisa was kind enough to offer us a complimentary late check-out, which we appreciated. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the couple who run it were always warm and friendly, making our stay even more special.

Very nice location with every room facing the sea and thus enjoying the gentle afternoon breeze. Very clean and well maintained. Nice interior design and supercomfy big bed. All topped by the Italian restaurant run by bruno and valeria. Fresh pasta and italian dishes draw on local ingredients. A perfect Christmas hideaway.

“Good base for travel”

Lovely welcome and the team are really nice. The food here is fantastic and you can definitely tell it is Italian owned, wow the pizza and pasta are yum! Really good if you want a base for your trip, but not exactly for chilling and relaxing The bedrooms in the bungalows are absolutely gorgeous, bed is really comfy and a very cute boho vibe

This is a beautifully styled boutique hotel. Small and unique with an incredible kitchen serving up Italian and seafood. We loved our stay. So peaceful and the staff were wonderful! A slice or luxury!

Our stay was amazing ! The people who work here are incredible. Esepcially Valeria and Bruno. They are Italian and you can feel the Italian vibe and warmth. They make you feel like home. The food is absolutely amazing! Also thanks to Hanna. Everything was perfect !

Everyone at Milele is very happy and helpful. The breakfast each morning was great, the lunch and dinners we had in the restaurant were very good. The location is great if you want somewhere that is quiet and away from the busier stretches of beach front. We had a hire car so could get out and about easily, otherwise there are tons of taxis available anytime you need them. There's no "beach boys" on the beach in front of the resort pestering you. We stayed in one of the bungalows overlooking the beach, which was brilliant, everything in the room we needed and a nice couch outside to sip cocktails and watch the people out fishing in the rockpools. The beach in front of the hotel is only swimmable near high tides, but at lower tides there are lots of rockpools to explore and see various crabs, starfish, fish, and other creatures. When we did go for a swim at high tide it was like a bath, warmest sea I've ever been in. We organised a snorkelling trip to Mnemba Island through the hotel and that was a lot of fun, all went very smoothly. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the most incredible time during our honeymoon, an experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Isabella and her son Nicolò, who were always available for anything we needed, whether it was organizing excursions, booking a taxi, or simply offering advice to help us enjoy the island to the fullest. It was our first time in Zanzibar and everything felt magical. The attention to detail was extraordinary: from the high-quality products provided, like creams and shampoos, to the way we were constantly looked after with kindness and care. You can truly feel how much thought and heart goes into every aspect of the experience. Isabella and Nicolò were always present, thoughtful, and ready to help with anything, creating a sense of comfort that stayed with us every day. A special mention goes to Omar, our guide during the excursions, who was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. His explanations were clear, interesting, and filled with local insight, which helped us connect even more deeply with the beauty and culture of Zanzibar. The staff, all coordinated with dedication by Isabella, were simply fantastic: friendly, genuine, and always ready with a smile. They helped create the most relaxing and joyful atmosphere we could imagine. And the food, what a lovely surprise! The cuisine is Italian at its heart, but enriched with touches of local tradition, making every dish unique, delicious, and full of flavor. Dining here was always a pleasure and something we looked forward to each day. This has truly been the most beautiful trip of our lives, and while we’re sad to leave, we know this is not a goodbye, but just a “see you soon.”

“An amazing place”

After 10 days on safari, staying at Milele was simply incredible for relaxing! It’s such a cozy place, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Lisa was especially attentive and kind—she was always checking in to make sure everything was okay and made us feel completely at home, like part of the Milele family. All the staff were wonderful, but I want to give a special shout-out to Anna. You have no idea how amazing she was—such a unique person, always ready to help. She was so kind that she even wrote down detailed instructions on how to take a dala dala (local bus) to the city center, and it worked out perfectly! One more thing…the food is fantastic! The chefs are Italian, so you can imagine how delicious everything was—and the prices are really reasonable compared to other restaurants in Zanzibar. Also, the breakfast is absolutely spectacular. Thank you so, so much, Milele team!

Isabella, the hotel director, pours her heart and soul into the establishment, even when faced with challenges from local authorities. Her vast life experience and genuine honesty make her a valuable advisor to guests. Alongside her, Hassan tirelessly catered to our every need around the clock, offering assistance on any topic. This isn't a corporate chain hotel; it feels more like a charming family-run establishment where every staff member is part of the family. The food was consistently good, and the service was friendly. The exceptionally friendly staff ensured our room was impeccably cleaned two to three times daily.

“Magnificient and beautiful botique hotel”

I would like to start this review by saying that if I could then I would rate this property 11/10! This is easily the best hotel stay I've ever had (not only in Tanzania). The hotel is just great, it's not big, but it's amazingly beautiful, everythings fresh and clean. The rooms ar amazing and the service is out of this world. And the staff who works there was one of the kindest and friendliest. But the best thing of this hotel are the Italian family that runs the hotel and also the family that runs the restaurant. We felt so good, welcomed and basically we felt like we've been friends for a long time - they are truly great people and I was sad to leave the hotel. Can't forget to mention the restaurant - 10/10, if you like Italian cuisine then you will love the menu they have as much as I loved it. Everything was so delicous, fresh and versatile. I recommend this botique hotel to everyone! Thank you Lisa for the amazing stay we had.

“Amazing experience in paradise”

I spent a full week at Milele Beach Resort and had an amazing time with my family. The staff was amazing and very helpfull with anything we needed. They helped us book tours, taxi's and at breakfast they asked us everyday if we have slept well. The rooms are beautiful and the matrasses are perfect! Finally a hotel that understands how important a good matrass is. The breakfast was great, serving a varierty of options and different kinds of fresh fruit every day. Thanks to the whole staff for making it an experience to remember. Definitely coming back! Grazie Mille! <3

I booked a night in that hotel because my friends were in the hotel near Milele . I like everything, the food was great , the portions really generous , all the staff very friendly . The room was very clean , the breakfast was super delicious, when I arrived in the hotel was to late but they prepare for me a super good pizza , perhaps the best I ate in Zanzibar . Was the best evening for the birthday to my friend and my stay in Milele beach resort .
