“Magical place! Don’t miss it!”

Probably the best place I’ve stayed in my 10 days trip to Eswatini. Slept in the the beehives, loved the architecture and attention to details. Wonderful setting and hiking trails. Food is excellent. Staff and owner very friendly.

One word, paradise! The most beautiful place in eSwatini. Wonderful staff, stunning views, the lodge is beautifully landscaped. Good for hikers, birdwatchers but also perfect for guests who want to relax in luxury. Good beds and breakfast.

“Tranquil, peaceful retreat”

The property was very peaceful, and the staff were friendly and always available to assist. I’ve never slept so close to a waterfall before, it was a surreal experience. Make sure you come hungry as the food is delicious!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge. From the moment we arrived, Rod and his team made us feel genuinely welcome—nothing felt forced, just warm, effortless hospitality. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set in such a beautiful natural environment. You actually feel like you’ve escaped real life for a bit (and honestly, no complaints there). The food? Next level. Every meal was delicious, and the attention to detail really stood out. The staff were attentive without hovering—somehow always there when you needed them, and invisible when you didn’t. It’s one of those rare places that gets everything right. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back.

“A tropical paradise”

The location is stunning. We really enjoyed hearing the sound of the waterfall from our bedroom (Cottage 2). There are wonderful hikes to do, all well marked and on a map. We had delicious food served on the terrace of the restaurant. The home made chips should not be missed.

“Absolute Nature Dream in the Mountains.”

Insane views over the hills from pool and dining area. Big trees and a nice garden. Own hiking trails from 30mins-2h, no ticks and everything is well indicated and path cleared. I just loved the view into the jungle from the tent. And overall privacy of the tent.

Great setting, stayed in the beehives. Unique accommodation. Food was good, albeit service was a little rushed, but we were looked after very well

The cooking of the chef Pinky, the comfortable interior of the restaurant with a nice touch of African vibes, and the view from the restaurant, the friendliness of the staff - amazing! Thank you so much for all the good care!

Friendly and supportive staff. Natural beauty and far from the madding crowd. Prompt response from reception. The food was like jerrrrr.Kudos to Boniswa and her colleagues. Me and my wife enjoyed the beautiful noise from the Phophonyane Falls throughout the night. The beehive was awesome.

The location is incredible, the lodge nestled on the slope of a canyon, with a stream flowing below. Surrounded by beautiful trees and immersed in greenery, it's a wonderful place, far from the hustle and bustle of civilization.

Highly underrated. Photos cannot do this place justice. Imagine living inside a fairy tale - this is that place! Was awesome to meet the owner - this place was established in the 70s. Just amazing!

Peaceful, beautiful environment to unwind and connect with nature. We loved the tent room with the sound of water and forest right outside, and the walking trails through the indigenous forest. We felt very well looked after by the friendly staff. Many thanks!

I loved everything about this beautiful place! Pictures do not do it justice and the staff were absolutely exceptional. The breakfast was just as incredible, this was the highlight of my trip! My only wish is that we stayed longer! What an absolute gem!
