The facility is terribly run down. It needs major work done. I was really very disappointed. No wifi, jo electricity, self catering units no cooking facility.

“As good as the price might look, STAY AWAY. The place is outdated and needs a lot of TLC”
The guest lodge was located about 20km out of PIet Retief. The road is not in a good condition and I would not drive that road at night time as cattle roam freely on the road. The staff tried their best but appeared out of their depth with the issues at the accommodation. Not every room has kitchen facilites and when they say kitchen facilites, it is VERY basic. Not enough cutlery for the number of people staying in the room.

Taking the dirt road off Piet Retief was an absolute adventure. Testing driving skills dodging a few lil potholes made it even more exciting. Beautiful drive between forest views and oom Pieter was such a treat. A man of vision. We had Baardman giving us a private performance around the campfire and a delicious breakfast out on the deck. What a great unexpected beautiful place right next to the Swazi border. Will see you soon again. Im bringing my fishing rod this time.
