“Comfortable Apartment in a lovely setting with amazing views across Tuscany”
We stayed in one of the apartments with a garden view. Bedroom was a good size, bed was comfortable, and in general, the setting is very quiet and tranquil. Good sized bathroom and shower. Plenty of hot water and heating. The kitchen/lounge/dining area is smaller, but was sufficient for our needs and had everything we needed. Personally I would remove the sofa and have a larger dining area, rather than the fold down table, to make that space more comfortable and spacious. The views from the apartment, and from the fields behind are amazing, particularly at sunrise and late afternoon to sunset. Hosts were there to meet us and communicated well. Apartment is a true representation of the photos presented on booking.com. Location is great, close to Pienza and within easy drive of all the places you would want to see around the area. You do need a car though in my opinion.

“Exceptional Stay in Val d'Orcia.”
Our stay was truly unforgettable. The location is perfect for exploring the region, and the panoramic views are absolutely unique—waking up to those vistas was a highlight of our trip. We especially appreciated that all the on-site amenities could be enjoyed at no extra cost, which added great value to our experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, receptive, and always ready to help. A special thank you to Thomas and Amadeo, the managers, for their exceptional attention to detail and for making us feel so welcome. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tuscany!

I arrived during the official check-in time 17:00 but there was no staff present and no self check-in instructions were provided in advance. I had to call the staff by myself. After entering the room, I found that it had not been cleaned and was clearly not ready for new guests. I had to wait over one hour for staff arrived to clean. Also,this room requires going up a section of stairs. It may be inconvenient for guests traveling with large or heavy luggage.

Poggio ai Gelsi is in a great location and in a beautiful rural setting. There is a lovely pool but it isn’t heated.
