Overview
Set in 50 hectares of private land, Il Macchione is an 18th-century stone farmhouse. Just 1.5 km outside Pienza, it features a swimming pool that overlooks Val d'Orcia Natural Park. Apartments have a rustic style with wood-beamed ceilings and antique furniture. They all feature a comfortable living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchenette. You will also have air conditioning, satellite TV channels and free Wi-Fi. Outdoors, you will find the 70-m² terrace featuring a swimming pool with hydromassage area and plenty of sun loungers, chairs and tables. The grounds also include a children's playground, gazebos and lots of vineyards, olive trees and colourful flowers. Agriturismo Il Macchione serves a buffet breakfast each morning and a BBQ is available in the garden. Parking is free and the farmhouse is an hour's drive from historic Siena.

“Authentic Tuscan charm, stunning views, excellent comfort”
Everything was perfect. The authentic Italian atmosphere, the comfort of the room, the beautiful pool, and the views made our stay truly memorable. Although we stayed for only one night, we would have loved to stay longer and definitely would like to return in the future. The surroundings were stunning, and the location was excellent for exploring the area. The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and offers a genuine Tuscan experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic stay in the countryside.

Sublime location, absolutely stunning views,, beautiful place with staff that couldn't do enough for my family and I. Only stayed for one night but could have stayed alot longer . Heaven

“For this location I recommend you to do the experiences: it will really be a good souvenir for your holidays”
The location ( no so far from the Gladiator Chapel) and all around beautiful landscape . The place is really peaceful and with all around beautiful landscape. The staff : nice people. To complete the experience: do the dinner when you arrive it s really good. And the truffles hunt with the lunch : you will eat more than enough and appreciate the truffle cooking ❤️

A fantastic place if you want to truly experience Tuscany and feel like you're staying in a castle — this is the right place. The location is excellent if you want to explore all the nearby attractions, and it's only 5 minutes from Pienza. Very clean, with extremely welcoming people. The breakfast was fantastic. In one word: everything was perfect.

We were looking for accommodation away from the main tourist areas and found Agriturismo II Macchione which was located just a couple of kilometres from the town centre of Pienza with a country side setting with expansive views of the rolling hillsides. We used this place as our base to explore the Tuscany area driving our hire car doing day trips. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

“Decent”
The rooms were huge and very comfortable and clean. The location is a short drive to Pienza. A car is a must as there are no restaurants nearby.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and on hand to answer any questions we had. We were visiting due to going to a wedding, there were no taxis available to take us and the owner offered to take us! Breakfast every morning was lovely sitting outside in the courtyard and the grounds and gardens at the property were immaculate. We would 100% stay again if we were ever in the area again.

“Perfect paradise, great facilities, delicious food, lovely staff”
Gorgeous place. So quiet and beautiful facilities, perfect for a romantic get away in the country side. We loved the pool, so beautiful particularly at sunset. The room was cosy and had everything we needed and the aircon was perfect for hot summer weather. We also did a BBQ experience which we would definitely recommend - they cook you delicious meat with wine in the gardens on the property. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were lovely and they also had a beautiful little kitten hanging around who we loved.
