“Five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in every aspect”

We especially enjoyed the way the hosts encouraged the guests to socialize. We were thoroughly impressed by the comfort and restoration of the property. The breakfast was served in the beautifully restored dining room by our host all kitted up in his kilt. We have stayed in many inns & B&B's - this was by far the best.

The nice building. The location within Pictou, very convenient. The view from the room. The very good bed. The dining room has a lot of character. Our hosts were very nice and cheerful :)

“The cutest little inn on our journey through Nova Scotia.”

What a lovely charming place to stay. Sandy & Cathy were such lovely hosts, very friendly and kind. My husband being Scotish, I thought this would be a great place to stay for us. (He loved it) The building is lovely, peaceful, and very quiet. We did find the room on the small side, and there was no seating in the bedroom, just the bed and small chair. The little details in the bathroom were also such a nice touch, they really thought of everything! The library area, though, was a nice seating area. The charm of history was great from the hosts, and the artwork throughout was amazing. A delightful little continental breakfast with Sandy in his authentic Scottish kilt topped it off! It was very easy to walk to the waterfront, and a few restaurants to choose from were also nice. We did love talking to the hosts about their inn and my because my husband's Scottish, they chatted about "home." There is no elevator, so you have to walk quite a few steps, so it's not easy if you have mobility issues. We didn't mind the stairs at all, and the patio area was awesome. A cute little green space was also a nice addition for anyone to enjoy outside. Thank you, guys, for a wonderful experience! We loved this little town of Pictou. It's definitely worth staying for more than 1 night, which we only had time for. We really loved this little town on our journey thru the East Coast.

Quirky and very engaged hosts. Bed was very comfortable.

Nice and clean rooms. Close situated to the seaside, many restaurant options. If you mind steep stairs (as mentioned on the proberties homepage), this could be an issue – not surprising in a historical house.

The decorating was amazing and Sandy was great!

It was a lovely bed and breakfast, close to the town centre. Rooms were very well thought out. Bed was pretty high to get into (we are reasonably tall people). Breakfast was very good.

Excellent location; walking distance to the Pictou waterfront attractions. Nice to have an attached parking lot. Our host was super friendly and quite the character. Breakfast was an "event", with freshly prepared, tasty food and pleasant conversation with the other guests. Our room was cozy and comfortable.

Beautiful decor. The b&b has been very tastefully furnished and is spotlessly clean. Also liked the chance to talk to all the other guests while we were enjoying a free apéro on the terrace.

This is a well preserved historical building, beautifully furnished and with private parking. The host is very friendly, fun and helpful. He gave us a lot of useful infos too. Finally: the breakfast - served in a beautiful room - was delicious and most important healthy.

Beautifully restored building filled with appropriate and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed and pillows with good quality bedding Very welcoming owners. They shared the history of the place and great advice on places to eat plus items to order!
