Overview
Papanikola Guesthouse is located on the slopes of the Mainalon mount. It offers charming, rustic rooms, traditional breakfast and a wooden porch with stunning views of the mountain range. Rooms combine traditional architecture, a chic rustic charm with modern facilities. Each is en suite with individual heating, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, safe and mini hi-fi. Rooms designed for people with mobility problems are available upon request. Hotel Papanikola serves homemade breakfast prepared with local produce and delicacies, including country eggs, homemade preserves and local honey. From the hotels' wooden porch guests can enjoy the view to the Mainalon mountain range as well as to the Falanthos fields, and down to the Parnon and Taygetos mountains. The guesthouses’ location in the village of Piana allows access to nearby attractions. Worth visiting are the cave of God Pan and the old dome church Panagia Polykammeni. Tripoli Town is 19 km from the property, while Athens City is 160 km away.

“Wonderful, comfortable stay in a gorgeous location”
We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Hotel Papanikola. The communal area was stunning, with lovely music, a fireplace, comfy couches, and a gorgeous view. The hosts were lovely, excellent English, and very helpful with food/drinks/questions. Location was great, walking distance to the local taverna and the town church. On the road approaching town, the hotel has helpful signs directing you where to go. Overall we had a fantastic time here!

“Wonderful hotel, outstandingly friendly owner”
The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is stunning. The hotel is attractively furnished. The food is mostly locally made or sourced, and is plentiful and delicious. This really is an outstanding hotel - and it's the owner and his family who really make it. They genuinely are delightful; nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend.

“Charming mountain retreat hotel overflowing with Greek hospitality”
The owner- managers were incredibly welcoming and made us feel almost like we were part of the family. The hotel was tastefully decorated and well cared for. The view from the balcony of the mountains and the garden was superb and the breakfast was delicious and homemade with love.

The breakfast was all homemade!! Delicious !!! The owners where amazing people!! Always happy and willing to help us and answer all our questions!! They also gave us a very well organized brochure so we can see what where the attractions in the village!! I definitely recommend someone to visit the place !! Our room had the most amazing views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Dimitirs was the most welcoming host, gave us information about different hiking routes and places to eat in the area. But I have to say the highlight was the breakfast - absolutely delicious, everything from traditional pies, to cakes and spreads are homemade - and what is not to like when your eggs come straight from the hens they keep in the property. would definitely visit again!!

“Unspoilt gem in the peloponnese”
Just an amazing little gem with hosts that can’t do enough for you (family run). Breakfast served on veranda balcony over looking beautiful alpine forests. All breakfast components were either home made or locally sourced (conserves, honey, cheese, bread etc) plus an amazing spinach & cheese filo pastry pie. Each room individually furnished with rustik charm and a private balcony. If you are looking for something authentic, this is the one for you.
