Ayutthaya Retreat is just gorgeous. It’s quirky and has a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. It’s a very large property so at times you almost feel that you have the place to yourself. It feels like stepping back in time. The staff are wonderful; food is great; nice swimming pool; beds are so comfortable; and it’s only a few minutes in a Tuc Tuc into the fabulous night market. Wonderful massages available at reasonable prices. I highly recommend it for the incredibly low price.

The food was excellent and the whole dining experience was just that...an experience. The whole place was amazing and steeped in tradition. The teak woodwork was incredible and the bed was so good! This place is a must stay.

Stunning wooden traditional house beats any standard hotel for a unique Thai experience. Lovely chilled place to relax away from the hustle and hustle of the temples. Food was delicious and plenty of breakfast choice.

“An authentic accommodation experience in Thailand”

We love the fact that the property is traditional, quirky, and full of character… There is something new to discover around every corner. The pond in the centre was full of fish, it was very relaxing area to sit and enjoy your breakfast/evening meal. The property is surrounded by nature and paddyfields, and you can really disconnect there. The breakfast was delicious, as were the other meals that we ate. The staff were great, and we liked that they offered vintage bicycles for us to explore the area by bike for free (we visited a Wat which is very close to the Retreat).
