The staff were absolutely amazing. The two young gentleman took our bags up the stairs and checked us in immediately. They were hardworking and attentive. All of our needs were met. When we needed cutlery and plates, water, towels, extra fans. I think these two hotel attendants alone made the hotel worth it for me. They work so hard all through the day and night

Generally the facilities weren’t anything extraordinary. The view from our room was quite nice and the bathroom was one of the best we had used so far: a glass door between the shower and the toilet and nice hot water. It’s not far from the Giant Ibis bus terminal.

I had a wonderful stay at Soma Hotel! The views of the river are absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect place to unwind and take in the scenery. The rooms are spotless, with every corner meticulously cleaned. The bed strikes the perfect balance between firmness and comfort, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. What really made my experience exceptional was the staff. They are warm, friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and well-cared for. “Awful stay and awful customer service , they don’t speak English”

Staff doesn’t speak English / if you want to go out at 3:00 am the doors of hotel are locked so you have to wake up the staff so they can unlock the doors.I had one light bulb working out of 3 in the bathroom. That one light bulb died out and they couldn’t replace it, so the lighting was very dark in the bathroom which made it hard to shave . They asked me to pay the full amount for a one week stay on my second day. Once I paid the service changed by the staff and they were less friendly. The staircase and hallways of the hotel are filthy dirty, they don’t vacuum the carpet and I don’t think they have any windex because all the faucets in the shower weren’t cleaned when I checked in.The staff seems to be related so there are always kids in the lobby playing games on their phones. If you don’t look super white they will treat you differently , because they dislike people with dark skin and will be hesitant (most Cambodian people are racist) I wouldn’t recommend visiting this country in general because the customs officers are racist and will repeatedly scan your passport and question it’s validity is you are from a western country but have a dark complexion. People will also ignore you in restaurants and not give eye contact to darker skinned people.Overall disgusting slave culture probably because of the monarchy.

You can't have a better accomodation for the price you pay, and the lovely sisters who are keeping the hotel are really hard workers, and incredibly humble and helpful people! They've been always patient and ready to meet my needs, and always cheered me with a smile and a positive attitude. I couldn't find anything cheaper around, and you get exactly what you pay for: a clean room and a modest hotel very close to the city center! I would recommend this structure to anyone!

A little out of the way from central Phnom Penh but convenient for the Boat to Chau Doc, Vietnam.
