Overview
This hotel offers rooms with a balcony and Alpine views in Pfronten's Steinach district. It is at the foot of Breitenberg Mountain, opposite the train station and 10 metres from the cable car. Each morning, a breakfast buffet is freshly prepared at the Hotel Pfrontener Hof. Guests on sport holidays may store their skis and bikes for free at the Pfrontener Hof. The Austrian border is just 1.4 km away.

Breakfast was good, I like the host and the location (next to a lift to a mountain top), but the hotel is very old. Some "alp-feel" can be nice, but its just outdated and it could be so much more. On a busy day hundreds of people walk 10 meters next to this hotel but the restaurant is closed. They could sell breakfasts, coffies, lunches and dinners making it a lively place, but instead it just feels old..

Cool place, located right next to a cable car and lots of places to hike. Personnel are speaking English and are very happy to help with all your questions and requests.

“Extraordinary mountain experience”
Amazing staff always ready to help us with anything we have asked for.Especially cleaning ladies.Lovely view on the mountains,cable cars to the top of the hill literally in front of the hotel and tasty breakfast. First picture is view from the room and entrance to cable cars. Second picture is view on the hotel from cable cars. Third picture is view on the hotel from the top of the hill and fourth one is room. We had to pay for room with this view 20 euro a night more than for the room on the other side of the hotel with the view on the road.

“Beautiful mountain get-away with a great breakfast”
Beautiful view up to the mountains. Fantastic breakfast with lots of options. But the staff were the best! Super friendly and helpful. We could also park our car right outside and the area felt safe to leave our bikes locked to the car.

“A lovely base to discover the Bavarian Alps”
The hotel is perfectly located right in front of the Pfronten-Steinach railway station, to which you can arrive from Munich in about 2hs. I recommend taking the train via Garmisch-Partenkirchen, since the views over the Austrian Alps are breath-taking. From the hotel, it's only 5minutes by (hourly) train to the centre of Pfronten (Pfronten-Ried), and a transport card is provided with the Tourist Tax. The hotel has a very nice vintage ski station chalet vibe, it's very cozy and warm. The room was comfortable and had a very big balcony. The breakfast was very complete and had all sorts of delicious treats. Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and kind, and gave us many interesting tips about the area. We spent a lovely time there!

“Very good!!!”
The location was very nice. Old fashioned house. The owner is very nice and outgoing. Comfortable bed, balcony, private bathroom. The breakfast is very good, hot rolls, croisants, good cheese and many others. I recommend!!! : )
