Overview
This 4-star hotel is set in beautiful Alpine countryside in the Allgäu region of Bavaria, a 10-minute walk from Pfronten. Guests enjoy free use of the saunas, steam room and gym. The Alpenhotel Krone features a historic façade, painted in a traditional Alpine style. The modern interiors are richly furnished with bright oak and dark timber. The bathrooms include quality toiletries, a bathrobe and slippers. Wi-Fi is free in all parts of the Alpenhotel Krone. Every room includes a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station. The games room offers a billiard table as well as a Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii games consoles. The full breakfast buffet at the Krone includes a cooked farmer’s breakfast and organic food. Bavarian specialities and à la carte dishes are served in the restaurant, lounge/bar or in the beer garden. On-site parking is free at the Alpenhotel. It is 12 minutes from the A7 motorway and within a 25-minute drive of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles.

“Fabulous, hope to return in the future.”
The staff members were all lovely and a couple of them were exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to help us when travel and meal plans came unstuck. The food is tasty and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The sauna and rest area is an added bonus.

“A nightmare!”
A real scandal!! Reserved a room around 22:00 with arrival time between 23h and 24h. Received booking confirmation. Upon arrival, the hotel and reception were closed. When calling the hotel, the person on theine refused to open the door for me, saying it was too late!! Never ever did I experience such rude behaviour!

Great staff, facilities, and a superb restaurant. Comfortable, though plain, rooms with very modern bathrooms - great shower! Definitely recommended (if the "didn't like" does not bother you).

The room was beautiful and nicely arranged like the whole hotel. The breakfast buffet was good as expected in that kid of exptablishemtnl. Free parking at the property. Nice and quiet surroundings. The staff was very nice and helpful. We loved the beautiful bathroom. Playroom for kids with all kinds of games, nice terrace.
