Overview

Please note that children aged less than 2 years old staying in an extra baby cot will be provided a limited breakfast. If you are traveling with babies or small children, please make sure you arrive before 08:00 pm. Please note that holiday vouchers are an accepted method of payment. Guests without a valid vaccine pass will not be able to have breakfast, due to government rules regarding the provision of food. This B&B is located in a market town with shops, bars and tennis court within walking distance. Guests can go fishing, walking or cycling, at either Vassiviere or Peyrat's lake, just 5 minutes walk from the house. Eymoutiers Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. There is a private car park with space for 3 cars. Upon request, a garage is available for bikes, motorbikes or one car.

“Worth staying longer”
Good position with regard to town centre, walking distance. Good position regarding the lakes. Welcoming, homely bed and breakfast. Lovely room with balcony overlooking the garden and green landscape. Kettle to make tea and coffee. Large comfy bed. Clean shower room. Breakfast ok

Breakfast was pre order, it was on time and fresh every morning.The garden was nice, large and peaceful.The village was in a nice area. The room was nice and big. The host Laura, was very nice and very helpful. Lots of walking and cycling tracks in the area as well as lakes.

“We had a lovely four night stay and would return if we are ever back in that region again.”
The house was very quiet and peaceful as were the only guests staying there. We could come and go as we pleased. Lovely French breakfasts which could be taken at any reasonable time as long as we let the owner know. The room was warm and sunny with large windows.

“Very relaxing and pleasant stay at La Maison du Marchand”
Lovely house with a large and beautiful garden. I had a very relaxing time at La Maison du Marchand. The room had a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed sitting at the table in the garden under a tree reading a book while being surrounded by plants, trees and singing birds. I also enjoyed the breakfast with fruits freshly picked from the garden as well as the very kind and welcoming hosts.

“Tranquility. Just what I needed.”
lovely kept period house and pretty garden in a peaceful location. 5 minute walk to the centre of the community. Our room had a king size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, balcony with a view over the garden and the church in the distance. Breakfast - lovely choice and well presented. Bed - very comfortable. host- very welcoming and helpful. everything was clean and well kept.
