“An excellent peaceful location and a comfortable room”

The location of Auberge du Jardin was exceptional and the grounds and surroundings are lovely and peaceful. We ate at the bistro in the morning and enjoyed a healthy meal and very good coffee.

Insanely beautiful village. The auberge was one of my favourite stays. And we had a bathtub! It was clean and comfortable and I felt happy there.

Staff were super friendly. Nice having a back entrance to the room.

Location is good, near whale trip in baie st Christine. Staff is good and room is ok. Breakfast is expensive but tasty.

The location was good for us between Saguenay and Quebec, allowing us to break the drive. Room was simple, but clean and had everything we needed. The location was lovely and quiet. It was great to hear the birdsong in the morning. We met the owner the next morning who was very friendly.

The place is clean indoor and outdoors, the staff are attentive and kind. We also got a surprise upgrade and we stayed in the house next to the lodge.

This place is a gem. Under new ownership and they deserve to succeed. Mary especially was so helpful recommending sights and activities in the area. There is also an information booth across the road. The accommodations sit well back from the road and are very quiet. The property is spectacular with rolling lawns where you can relax in their chairs and admire the bird calls or gaze at the towering cliffs which rise from the back of the property. It is right in the centre of town and restaurants, groceries and liquor are within a stone’s throw. The town is a little gem with a salmon river running through it. Many hiking trails nearby. We stayed three nights and wished we had longer. The rooms are simply furnished but with many thoughtful touches. The breakfast area is delightful and we enjoyed their breakfast offerings.

Our room was very spacious and had a nice storage area for a suitcase and a holder for another suitcase. It was great that there was a door directly to the outside, so we could easily bring our luggage in. The common area was comfortable and full of interesting books, plus a fireplace that we didn't take advantage of. The hosts were welcoming and friendly.

A charming guesthouse nestled amongst some stunning and steep rock walls. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the in-house restaurant served some excellent food prepared directly by our hosts.
