“locally”
Very little, my belief is that their details are inaccurate. I booked a junior suite - there was no indication this was up 2 floors without a lift. Or was it clear this had a bathroom down 20 stairs from the bedroom. Given we’re both 79 we refused to stay in it. The only available room was reminiscent of a 1940’s boarding house. It had no table, nowhere to use a laptop and worst of all a toilet flush, which didn’t and needed remedial work on it Refused to pay the full price for this room and bargained it down to €100 which was still too much in my opinion

“Fantastic”
The location is impressive with a fantastic view over the valley. There is an extensive garden with roses around the house. They make their own olive oil which is very tasty. We have an electric car, and charge overnight was free.

The rooms were lovely in a big stately house up in the hills with far reaching views. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The grounds are immense but we were only there for one night so didn't get the chance to explore. There is a pool area but again that only opens in May (I believe) and we were there in April. My daughter and I would definitely stay there again.

“Lovely traditional hotel with stunning views, great Italian food and its own olive groves”
Loved this traditional rural hotel in a beautiful old Manor House which even has its own chapel! Very kind staff. My stay was off season so a little quiet. The dinner menu was great value and absolutely delicious.

“Stunning Umbrian getaway”
Il Castellaro is a stunning property in its own huge estate, about 1km from the road. The surroundings are calm and tranquil, the views glorious, the gardens beautifully kept and the pool area is lovely. The proprietors, Paolo & Itziar, were very friendly, chatty and helpful, and we really appreciated the lift back to the airport from Ugo to pick up our hire car.

“Perfect gateaway in Umbria inner land.”
If you are a fan of agriturismo stays, look no further. Absolutely incredible location, facilities, attention to details. Perfect pool to relax by, plenty of paths to walk and enjoy Umbria landscape. Comfortable bedding, bathroom and small kitchen with enough utensils to cook a Michelin dinner. Attentive staff and super friendly owner.

“Beautiful place for magical Umbrian holiday!”
Beautiful place to visit, Paolo (the owner) has been extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was massive and the breakfast was fresh with delicious croissants. It’s very close to Perugia and other cities so a great place for short city trips. The place is magical with the beautiful entrance through old trees alongside the road and magnificent picturesque views of Umbria!!

“Very relaxing start to our Italian Holiday.”
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful house and furnishings and gardens. The bed was extremely comfortable. Very convenient to see Assisi, Perugia, Deruta and the Umbrian country side. Delicious home cooked dinner on the request and lots of coffee with nice breakfast.
