Set upon a hill overlooking the green valley between Assisi and Perugia, Castello Di Monterone takes its name from the area where it stands. It offers an à la carte restaurant with a panoramic terrace. The first reference to the castle was discovered in Perugia’s historic archives in a document dating back to the 13th-century. This historic establishment is now a comfortable hotel. Escape the city hustle and bustle and enjoy a tranquil and relaxing environment both inside and outside the castle walls. Great location just next to Perugia. Perfect for a couple of nights to explore Umbria. A beautiful view of Perugia. A small but well-kept garden. An open-air hot tub is a great idea, especially at sunset. Own restaurant open for dinner is a big plus, we had a delicious meal. Decent hot breakfast. Lovely welcoming staff.

Everything! Amazing location, you really feel that you live in a castle, close to Perugia city center. It is very clean, great breakfast options, staff really nice. Bed was comfortable. Saunas were a plus & hot tub outside. Restaurant food for dinner was good - try the tartar & beef fillet.
