Located in the scenic Gern Valley at 1,172 metres above sea level, this guesthouse in the Alpenpark-Karwendel Nature Reserve is 5 km from Pertisau and Lake Achen, offering an á la carte restaurant with outdoor dining area and mountain views. Free on-site private parking is available. The Gern Alm’s traditionally furnished rooms offer mountain views and provide satellite TV and a bathroom with hairdryer. The restaurant serves classic Tyrolean cuisine and games dishes, as well as freshly caught trout in summer, homemade pastries, and Tyrolean bacon. A rich breakfast buffet is served every morning. Guests can dine outdoors in summer. An adventure playground and a petting zoo with a deer enclosure are provided for children. Hiking trails and cross-country ski runs start right outside Alpengasthof Gern Alm. Toboggans and snowshoes are available free of charge in winter.
