We stayed overnight on our way to Croatia. Beautiful space and location, close to the highway. A wonderful stay!

House of Horses(Hiša Konj) is a beautiful place tucked away in the hills of Slovenske Gorice. The whole area is peaceful and feels like something out of a fairy tale with "wild west feeling" – main builiding looking like a castle, green landscapes all around and horses calmly roaming in the nearby fields. From the porch the morning sunrise was absolutely breathtaking – one of those moments you just want to pause it and soak in your life. The apartment had everything we needed: a cozy bed, clean bathroom, and a small kitchen area where you could cook our own meals. Everything was neat and spotless. It's only about 10-minute drive from Maribor and 5 minutes from Lenart, but it truly feels like you're in a completely different world – quiet, calm, and full of fresh air. I honestly wish I could have stayed a few more days. I really recommend this place, especially for couples looking to relax and enjoy some time in nature together. It is perfect.

Lovely nature with beautiful horses, as well as a fluffy cat that really wanted to be inside with us 😄 A nice place to relax, was lovely waking up in the morning and enjoying our breakfast with the sun out. There was also some alcohol in the fridge and some coffee capsules + sugar when we arrived. Great for a short stay, or for a digital detox (especially since the signal can be bad at times 😁)

As others have commented, the setting is divine, very peaceful with a lovely view across the horse training arenas and buildings / stables and rolling hills in the distance. I watched a white stork circle the valley for about an hour, and deer ran between cornfields. The bed is very soft which I normally don't like too much, but for some reason it was perfect for my tired bones. The drive to the actual apartment isn't as bad as others make out - sure, it's sharp stones and a couple of dips and you need to be in 1st gear for the last steep-ish 10m or so, but if you know how to drive a car then you should be fine. There is working efficient aircon, no TV and no microwave but a two-ring stovetop and a conventional oven plus plenty of pans etc. A woodburner for colder months, but I was there in July. It is a small inside area, so really just a base for further adventures but sooooo relaxing looking out of the large glass doors or sitting on the expansive deck with a glass of wine or two. A well-stocked shop is about 5 mins by car in Pernica back over the other side of the motorway where I picked up some mosquito repellent as I'd forgotten mine. In all, a great place for relaxing and unwinding and while I did not meet the hosts (the key is in a lockbox next to the door and you get a PIN sent via SMS / email on the day you arrive) they were very responsive in messages when I had a couple of questions.

The best thing is the environment it is set in which is quite unique and exceptional and overshadows the usual criteria we would apply to lodging in e.g. a hotel. The cabin is in the middle of a functioning horse farm. I only wish I had taken more time to spend there sitting on the porch and enjoying the views. There is even a wood burning stove you can fire up just to create a nice atmosphere.

Quiet place, perfect for a short or a long stay. Everything you need is in the bungalow. Everything is working. More facilities, than you need. Beautiful place. Convenient parking.

“Unusual house on horse farm, great experiences to collect”

We arrived quite late (around 22 PM) and thanks to key box (opening with PIN from booking) we can acommodate smoothly. The house is located on horse farm and you have a view for farm buildings, landscapes and paddocks for horses. The owners are very passionated with horses and it's great! The house has good equipment and the landscape around is peacful and nice. We just stayed for one night and I recommend this as a good place to sleep when you travel to Croatia (close to highway, but it's very quite and you can rest), but also you can stay here a longer period of time. Dog friendly, no extra paid :)
