“An quiet oasis away from the mainstream”

From start to finish this was a perfect stay being out of the way, quiet, clean, with a pool and an excellent host in Stellios. He was a great guide, very relaxed and accommodating. He organised things for us and really helped to make the vacation. The apartment was split level and was cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. The pool area is excellent and perfect at the end of a day or even for the majority of a day. The supermarket is literally like your corner shop and there is a very good value Grill house next to this that does takeaway as well as 'eat in'. We feel that we benefited from the lack of visitors to the island due to the earthquake earlier in the seasons, but Oia and Fira felt 'busy', whereas Emporeio was a delight - quiet, traditional and real.

“Awesome”

The rooms are big and spotlessly clean. There is a small balcony where you can look out to the grapes and fig trees in the garden. It's very relaxing and I had my best sleep in this place during my trip so far. There is also a swimming pool just outside so you can chill by the pool or have a swim. The place has good bus connections (just 1 min walk to the stop!) to Fira. Stelios (the host) also gave us clear instructions and was also very caring and accommodating to our needs. This place is awesome.

“Disappointed”

There was a truck wash centre behind the fence next to the pool making noise until 21pm every day so I couldn't use the pool nor sit next to it. The host told me to go to my room, close the windows and door and sit in shades on the other side of the building since the noice bothers me. Also, on the next day the cleaner came in to my room without a warning and without asking permission.

“We recommend”

We were so impressed by this location. It was very clean, confortable and the host helped us with everything we needed (fast response with the check in, a map for discovering the island and the transfer to the airport in the morning). It is not very close to the sea, but the bus station is one minute away, and also a local supermarket with good prices is just around the corner. We appreciated that it was quiet, the room had the right temperature (without turning on the AC) and we had a great time staying there, around the pool. We are thankful. 🥰

A quiet, friendly place

I loved it ! The staff was very friendly and helpful. He helped us with our luggage and even give us a map of the island and explained to us all major attractions to do for the duration of our stay. They made our bed each morning and even did our dishes which we did no expect. They changed our towels and cleaned he room everyday. The location was great, we were 2min of walk of a supermarket and restaurants. There was no noises, it was quiet and calm. We loved the pool, it was great. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and spacious. It really exceeded our expectations.

The family who owned the property were very friendly and welcoming.Stelios is an extremely likeable person and his parents keep the rooms absolutely spotless.We would like to thank them for their kindness and hospitality.We really enjoyed our stay and if we return to Santorini in the future we would not consider anywhere else.As a couple of seventy year olds,the only downside to the property was that it was a mile or so to the beach and choice of restaurants,but after a couple of days we hired a car and never looked back.Thank you again to Stelios and his family.

“A superb and chilled hotel”

Our view at the pool looked exactly like the photo on the listing. A great welcome and care taken of us by Stelios all week. Clean bedding and towels daily. A relaxed atmosphere but close enough to the main street and beachfront of Perissa. Always space on the sun beds. A bar with very well priced beer/Fanta limon and coffees. Everything was great! Room was super clean and cleaning lady came in and cleaned everyday. The location is also great, it is close to the most touristic beaches of Santorini. It has a good supermarket in walking distance and also a good, affordable restaurant. We had parking, which was great, because we rented a car and got to go around most of the island. Stelios ( the receptionist ) was always ready to answer our questions and gave the best tips about what beaches to go to, what villages to visit, bars etc. We got to experience some great places thanks to him, he really contributed a lot to our holiday! We stayed for 11 days and had a great time but wished we could have stayed a lot more! As Stelios helped us with everything, We'll also try to help a little bit and write here some of the must-visit places in Santorini for anyone who might read this. In our opinion, you have to visit Emporio and Megalochori villages (this was first advice from Stelios :) ), see the Red Beach at least ( but you can go with the taxi boat and also see the White and Black beach ), the Caldera Beach ( it is a beautiful, a little bit remote beach, with a great view to the Caldera ), of course the most touristic beaches ( Perissa, Perivolos and Kamari ), get to properly walk around Fira and Oia, maybe get to experience the sunset while eating in one of their great restaurants. ( We recommend The Edge near Caldera Beach, Sunset Ammoudi in Oia, in Ammoudi Bay), in Emporio a must go to is "To Kafenedaki Tou", it s a quiet, little, coffe shop between the narrow streets of Emporio. There are lots more to write, but for now this a really short list :)) Finally, We would like to salute all The Staff at Mandilaria Studios and especially Stelios ( The Great ) for making our stay so memorable, and we hope we get to see them again and repeat the experience. All perfect! The boy at reception was so kindly and available to recommend us locations and restaurants to visit. Excellent location, 5 minutes from the most beautiful beaches of Santorini, very convenient for getting around by quad or scooter. I will keep a beautiful memory of this holiday, thank you!

Friendly and responsive staff. They were attentive and also guided us with nice places to visit. We travelled with a baby and they arranged a cot before we checked in! The place was easy to find and easily accessible by bus.

“A perfect, relaxing summer break.”

The whole accommodation was immaculately clean. It was a quiet and peaceful environment and the staff were attentive and friendly. The location was great with easy access to the bus route, a supermarket and Perissa beach. Whilst the location was perfect for what we wanted, I would recommend hiring a vehicle to travel freely around the island. However, we did manage to see a lot using the local buses.
