“Fantastic property in a lovely location with a great owner”

We stayed 3 nights in an ocean view room and we were very happy with our stay. Clean rooms, good air con, hot water and a great view of the ocean from the room and veranda. They also have a hot water station downstairs and flasks and cups in the room to make hot drinks. They have a small restaurant on site that has basic breakfast and also burgers. There are also other restaurants a few mins walk away. There is also a shop that stocks pretty much everything. You can pay by card or cash no problem. Suhaila the owner was super friendly and accommodating she gives the guests of the hotel home made banana cake which is a nice touch. She is super friendly and nice person to talk to.

“A wonderful stay in paradise”

The staff and location were amazing. Sunhaila welcomed us warmly and force fed us banana bread on every possible occasion - she couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay Fatiya has to get a special mention too - so lovely and welcoming. They recommended a great snorkeling trip and lots of places to eat on our bit of the island as well as offering to arrange water taxis if we wanted them. The room was clean and comfortable, if basic.

Great location. Able to arrange everything through the accomodation - organised several snorkelling tours and boat taxis. Suhaila is very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Great breakfast options. Rooms was very clean and comfortable with great air conditioning. Beautiful snorkelling near the property. Accepts card payments without surcharge!

“Great place to stay on the bigger island”

The lady owner was so kind and friendly, she made me fat with all the banana cake! Perfect location from the jetty. Huge room with two double beds (we were there as a couple). Very close to beach and the view was amazing, getting to see fish and sharks. Had fan and air con which was perfect. I only had breakfasts there, and loved the pancakes.

“Dreamy.”

Our stay at Suhaila Palace was honestly an amazing experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful views all around and such a peaceful atmosphere. One of the coolest things was being able to see baby sharks swimming near the front porch at night — something we’ll genuinely never forget. The room had everything we needed: strong AC, good Wi-Fi, a comfortable setup, and all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The connection was even reliable enough for me to do some online teaching during the trip, although once you’re there, you really just want to switch off and enjoy island life. Suhaila was incredibly hospitable and helpful throughout our stay. She organised really good snorkeling tours and even kindly let us use her own snorkel kit around the nearby beach areas. She also had useful amenities available in her shop and gave excellent recommendations for food spots nearby. Overall, this was such a memorable and relaxing experience, and we truly hope to come back again in the future. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful and beautiful stay in Perhentian Besar. Great view into the Bay. At night we had visits from some baby sharks right under the terrace. The owner is super friendly and helpful. If you leave with the last boat, they have extra Shower and towels for you and take care of your baggage. The banana pancakes for breakfast where just delicious!!

“Beautiful place to stay on the perhentians”

Great location with a nice restaurant next door and great beaches all within a short walk . Beautiful views from the upstairs of the property . All the staff were so friendly and helpful and there was free banana cake and snorkels everyday . The room was clean with a great aircon system .

“Great location”

The location is great. Very near coral just off the shore where you can see loads of fish, and great beaches. The staff are helpful, and can book a boat trip at short notice- not too busy when we were there. Great view from the upstairs rooms.

“Fantastic”

We couldn’t have had a better holiday. Our room was basic but had everything we needed , the view was amazing. The staff were really helpful especially mama who looked after everything. Our room was cleaned every two days. We had the benefit of beach towels and snorkels for free

A truly wonderful stay. The place is located in a stunning setting, with beautiful water and a very relaxed island atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was the kindness of the people working there — always friendly, helpful and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how beautiful simple island life can be. Highly recommended.

Suhaila and her staff are extremely friendly. Everything about our stay was perfect. The room was clean, the location was great and breakfast was tasty and affordable. Also near nice snorkeling spots and beaches. If I am ever back I'll be staying here!

The hotel is basic but very clean, the location is beautiful and the staff very kind. There are food option around and you can easily arrange trips at the accomodation.

Great location. Snorkeling spots close by. A variety of food options close. Very comfortable rooms and air con. Deck outside our room was a great place to hang out. Shop is handy also
