“Good value”

Staff bailed me out when I locked my keys in the room at night. Good location esp. if preaching from the nearby mosque is your thing. Good basic room , bed hardish AC and fan both worked v.well, en suite basic but adequate. This place was really good value and as such much better than some of the dearer options on the island.

I love that the location was very near to the sea and the mosque. On the same route, there’s the boardwalk to long beach so I got to hike too. The hike took about 1-2 hours depending on pace.

• Total Lack of Management: The owners were missing for an entire week. Despite over 20 phone calls, we received zero response, even when our baby fell ill and we needed urgent assistance. • Deplorable Hygiene: The room was filthy, with thick layers of dust right next to the pillows (photos available). We had the same towels for 7 days. Heavy mosquito infestation. • Broken Amenities: No air conditioning, no hot water, and no refrigerator to store or heat our baby’s food. • Security & Safety Issues: The location on Fisherman’s Island is terrible. Village children actually entered our room while we were inside! Firecrackers were thrown at us in the street and against our windows all night long. Sleeping was impossible. • Worst Value for Money: Paying €200 for a week in these conditions is a scam in Asia. For this price, you can find 4-star hotels in cities like Kuala Lumpur. • The Island: The area is dirty, overpriced, and offers no justification for the costs. Final Verdict: We even met other travelers (from Sweden) who were desperately trying to contact the hosts to leave immediately after seeing the conditions. This is my first-ever negative review in years of traveling, but this place is a health and safety hazard. Do not book here.

“genuine seaside kampung-vibe stay”

I like that it was close to the mosque, the jetty and the town centre. The location and the price are worth it. The staff was also very kind in allowing us to extend our timing as we were slightly late from our hiking trip to Long Beach.

Convenient location in the fisherman village, and fair price for the room. Good wifi connection and easy check in/out. It s ok for 1 or 2 nights

We had to change rooms several times, so you will see other comments. Impossible to rest here because of mosque singing at 5am.

It was the cheapest option we found, everything else went outside our budget. It was low season so lots of things were closed. Still too expensive for what it was.

The Flair of a Malay House very autentic .

We stayed 2 nights in a family room. simple room but worth the cheap price.. small LED tv, air conditioning, free wifi

cheap room prices, free wifi and high speed, check-in time is easy if there are no other guests and a warm welcome from the female staff at the reception counter...there is a souvenir bag in the room to bring back as a memory
