Location on long beach is perfect, garden villa was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had the most relaxing stay.

The Bubu Villa surprised us in so many ways! It is an incredible hotel, and we stayed in one of the villas, which was absolutely fantastic. But the best part of all was the amazing staff! They made us feel like part of the family — always kind, cheerful, and ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Emma, to the Manta Diver Lady 😊, to the always happy and smiling Lady at the recption too, to all the guys who were constantly in a good mood 🤣, to Ron, with his good vibe and a big smile, and to Chef Waqa, who not only prepared fantastic breakfasts but also welcomed us after hours with what was probably the best chocolate cake I've ever had! (Sorry if I got any of the names wrong — I did my best to match them to how they sounded!) Congratulations to the whole team! We are leaving with the feeling that the Perhentian Islands are truly a place we will definitely return to. See you again soon!!

We stayed at Bubu Villa for 6 nights and overall had a wonderful experience. The resort itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and located in what is probably the best area of Long Beach. Being at the far end of the beach makes it much quieter and more relaxing than the rest of the area, while still being within walking distance of everything. Another great advantage of the location is that right next to the resort there is a taxi boat service, making it incredibly easy to explore the surrounding islands and beaches. Many of these beaches are even more beautiful than Long Beach itself and often almost empty, allowing you to enjoy crystal-clear water and stunning scenery away from the crowds. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly, from the reception team to the waiters and service staff. A special mention goes to the chef, who not only prepared excellent breakfasts every morning but was also genuinely kind, attentive, and remembered the hotel guests personally, making the experience feel much more special. The food was consistently very good. Lunches and dinners at the beachfront restaurant were excellent, and while prices are naturally higher than those at Long Beach restaurants, the quality of both the food and the service is noticeably better. The villa itself was outstanding: modern, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It offered the perfect balance between luxury and privacy, making it a fantastic place to relax after a day spent exploring the islands. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and the best location on Long Beach. We would happily stay here again.

Our stay at BuBu Villa from May 17th to May 26th, 2026 was simply excellent and unforgettable. A very special thank you to Khayroun, who takes care of activities. Beyond his work, he was incredibly kind, helpful and genuinely caring. We shared a beautiful sunset moment together as well as a forest walk, and those memories will stay with us for a long time. Such a pleasant and wonderful person. A big thank you as well to Waqar Shah, the chef. Breakfast was already excellent, but he always went the extra mile with a smile. He regularly brought us juices, local specialties and delicious surprises for us to discover. He was always attentive and caring, making sure we had everything we needed at any moment. I would also like to warmly thank Adam, Hakim and Abu Bakkar, who were all incredibly friendly, welcoming and always smiling. A special mention as well to Ashik Rahman at the bar, who also helped with evening service and was always very kind and pleasant. And of course, we must not forget the lovely ladies at the reception desk, always welcoming us with a smile. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the entire BuBu Villa team. Every single person contributed to making our stay exceptional. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this trip so special and unforgettable. We truly hope to come back one day.

Overall a really great hotel - lovely rooms, generally very nice staff, good food. For the best beach, walk over to the beach on the opposite side of the island (takes about 15 mins) and from there take a <5 minute water taxi to Romantic Beach.

Amazing property with top class rooms in an amazing location. Staff were so kind. Restaurant food was great - especially breakfast and the BBQ.

We had a truly wonderful stay at BuBu Villas. The hotel is perfectly located right on the beach, with stunning turquoise waters stretching as far as the eye can see. We arrived several hours before the official check-in time, but the lovely Emma at reception kindly gave us our room keys as soon as our villa was ready. We stayed in a Garden Villa, complete with a private enclosed garden and an incredible outdoor shower — such a treat! The room itself was spacious and airy, with a large, extremely comfortable bed. The grounds were beautifully maintained by a dedicated team of staff, all of whom greeted us with warm smiles throughout our stay. A special mention to our friendly waiter, Haquim, who made sure we received our complimentary cocktails every afternoon. And we can’t forget the talented chef, Waqar, who prepared the most delicious breakfasts for us each morning (will be dreaming of the pancakes). BuBu Villas have a very land back vibe to it, nothing posh or over the top, just bare feet and sandy toes. We have nothing but positive things to say about our stay. Yes, it’s on the pricier side — but absolutely worth every penny if you are looking for total relaxation in stunning surroundings.

My husband, daughter, and I had a wonderful holiday at Bubu Villa in Perhentian Island. From the moment we arrived, the place felt magical—surrounded by lush greenery, it was like stepping into a peaceful tropical paradise. We were especially impressed by our spacious and spotless room, which provided plenty of comfort and relaxation throughout our stay. The environment was serene and beautifully maintained, perfect for a family escape. Breakfast each morning was a delight. The chef deserves a special mention—not only was the food delicious, but his service was truly top-notch. All the staff were friendly, warm, and always ready to help, making us feel right at home.

“Seamless island experience and unmatched level of service”

Everything was fantastic, the rooms are great and the breakfast was tasty and very generous (special one for the fresh juices and the pancakes made by the chef). Also, we have tried other resorts on the island and the level of service is unmatched! I heavily recommend it for a seamless island experience!
