An absolute gem of a hotel, it has charm and character and the staff are so helpful. Ask for a room near the back of the hotel when you book. It is right in the town centre, which is what we wanted.

The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout in a colonial style, with an excellent attention to details. The location is also particularly good, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Great breakfast with coffee brewed in small jugs so it is always served fresh. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Good Wi-Fi too.

Don Alfonso is a very nice hotel to stay in if you're spending some time in or near the centre of Pereira. Small scale, a building with some character, staff that tries to do a bit more, and a decent quality/price balance.

The bookings total price was not the price that the hotel charged us. The hotel charged us an additional 90mil or 20 USD on top of the booking.com quote. This is wrong and not transparent.

Secluded. Rooms are off a courtyard which is shaded and cool. Great rooms with tasteful period furniture and air conditioning. Great Wifi. Super helpful staff. Was very comfortable here and reluctant to leave.

This is a small beautiful hotel. So much better than the Movich I stayed at last time which is old impersonal and more expensive. My room was large and quiet

We like to stay in smaller boutique hotels and were not disappointed when we chose the Don Alfonso Hotel in Pereira for our stopover on the way to Salento. The hotel is housed in a historic building and every corner of the house tells a story. Stay here if you are looking for character, friendly staff and a comfortable bed in a spacious room. Stay away if you don't like cats, old books, vintage paintings and furniture from the last century. There is even a free parking if you arrive by car which is premium in this central location in Pereira.

We were met with a nice welcoming smile from Juan, who took care of us from start to finish. Very attentive and polite. We loved the old colonial feel to the place, particularly as this was balanced by the highest cleaning practices.
