A lovely, relaxing stay within a beautiful family home! The hospitality was 10/10, the information given regarding food and directions was 10/10 and the food was simply divine 😍 I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Hanthana View! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The room was a great size and we saw some lovely birds in the grounds as an added bonus. We will be back 🙌

Comfortable, clean and large room. The kids enjoyed the balcony a lot. Great dinner and tasty breakfast. Lovely owners, pleasant conversations. Recommended if you are looking for a peaceful accommodation outside the noise of city center.

A very clean place. A young couple provided all the services we needed. The room has a beautiful view. They also guided us to a tea factory, which was very interesting. If we visit Sri Lanka again, we will definitely stay at this homestay.

“Great accommodation near Kandy”

We stayed with a lovely family with 2 small children. Accommodation away from town. Next to small food stalls and the Budda temple. A delicious Sri Lankan breakfast was served. We had a variety of food for two days, we also ordered dinner which was delicious. The hostess served local home cooking. The food is not spicy. Be sure to let the hostess know if you would like the food spicier. You can tell immediately that she cooks 'from the heart' and wants to provide good service to her guests. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Wonderful view of the jungle from the balcony. Only fan in the family room. There was no air conditioning. The second room had air conditioning and a fan.

The kindest hosts who made sure we were so comfortable. Made us wonderful tea and cooked us a delicious dinner. We had a train to catch early in the morning and they helped us get to the train station with their own scooter. Super kind and helpful of them! Our stay was wonderful!

It was very clean. Hot water available. Easily accessible from main road. Mosquito net on request. Wifi worked. Friendly, non-intrusive staff. Reasonable rates.

Baie vriendelike gasvrou en familie. Hulle het ons mooi gehelp. N bietjie uit die stad uit, maar naby aan n busroete. Die ontbyte en opsionele aandetes was wenners!

“Lovely guesthouse”

This is a lovely guesthouse to stay before you take the train. They cook a delicious breakfast and organise a Tuktuk for you to take to the train station. Lovely family hosting as well!

Such a kind and hospitable family! The room was so lovely and very clean, and they gave us lots of helpful advice on how to catch the train and avoid the crowds (which we managed successfully). Breakfast was also delicious.

We visited Peradeniya for working at university We stayed at hanthana view for two nights. Really clean room, warm water. Dinner was great. She cooked vegan meal. We don't what we can do in Peradeniya, she told us about the nice temple around. She gave us an Adapter for charging our ringphones. An in the evening by dinner, we had a nice conversation. It a bit like coming home. Thank you so much

Superbly clean, well laid out accomodation, a home from home, friendly and accomodating host family, fabulous Sri Lankan home cooked food of our own choice, will stay there again without hesitation, away from the busy trunk road but easy bus/ taxis to Kandy

a lovely guesthouse, with very welcoming hosts, and a great location for visiting Kandy while seeing life in a smaller village area. Our hosts went the extra mile with delicious cooking, advice, and help catching the bus. Highly recommended!
