Overview
Overlooking Skaha Lake and an adjoining park, this Penticton bed and breakfast offers clear views of the mountains on the opposite shore. The owners make gourmet breakfasts and cherry wine. Each room at Above the Beach Guest Suites features dark, hardwood floors and a private bath. All are equipped with free Wi-Fi and an in-room coffee maker, and some rooms include a spa bath or jetted shower. The bed and breakfast resides on more than 1 acre of land with lush gardens and fruit trees from which guests are free to pick. Skaha Lake Park, next to Above the Beach, provides access to swimming, picnic areas and children’s playgrounds. The Okanagan Valley Above the Beach Guest Suites is less than 7 km from Lake City Casinos and less than 30 minutes from the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory.

“Truly relaxing stay in a stunning location.”
An amazing little gem in a stunning location. A very warm and helpful welcome from Lisa which we truly appreciated after our journey. The views are truly stunning and combined with the hearty breakfast (different each morning) we were sorry to leave after our four night stay. A great spot for exploring the Okanagan and wineries! Highly recommend.

Breakfast was very nicely presented by a very lovely Lisa! Thanks so much for a great stay. Location was perfect for the Penticton Dragonboat Festival, with a spectacular view of the beach.

“Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable”
Loved the quaint luxurious room with the magnificent view. (an artist's dream) bed was very comfy and shower was perfect as well as the old fashioned tub! Breakfasts were scrumptious with the bonus of warmed croissants and the box was put together and delivered with care. Lisa was so gracious and approachable and professional as she clearly enjoys her business!

“Perfect place to relax and unwind”
The location was perfect. Off the beaten track but still close enough to restaurants. But not walkable to restaurants. Each morning we had a different delicious breakfast served to us We had asked for decaf coffee and had a good supply of it. Lisa mentioned Pentage winery and we walked to it. Then drive to it as we weren’t about to walk back carrying wine. Great winery

The breakfasts were more than I expected and the bagels and croissants very fresh. We travelled for a car show so we were nicely out the way so that we didn't’ t have to hear all the loud motors and revving of engines. It was nice to get back to the room and it was nice and quiet.

“Perfect.”
The hosts were wonderful easy to chat with people. The breakfasts way beyond our expectations and so good. The grounds are great fun to wander around and pick a plum or pear to munch on, if the deer leave any. Our room was so comfortable, from the first class linens to the cleanliness to the interesting steam shower to the VIEW! Our first Bed and Breakfast experience could not have been better. Thank you.

“This place has all the charm, views and best breakfast in town”
This place has so much charm and the hosts Gary, Barb and their dog Chiqui were so welcoming and so sweet! This place made our trip. We had deer visit us each day and not only did we enjoy the fruits on the property we enjoyed watching the deer and their fawn enjoy the fruit as well.
