“Incredibly stay at Casa Lola”

Honestly, we loved our stay at this place. Not only is the location beautiful and great for hiking, but James has been one of the most amazing hosts I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. He makes you feel even more comfortable than at home, gives great advice on where to eat and what activities to do, and you can spend hours chatting with him. The house is spectacular, the beds are super comfortable, and he even had the lovely touch of welcoming us with some amazing brownies. I hope we can return soon, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! It's almost impossible to find a place like this. Thank you so much, James!

I looked for a stop over between Madrid Airport and Pamplona, I needed one night but from the rewievs I understood that two nights is a better choise. I am happy I did so. The village Pelegrina is quite and is near Siguenza (my second visit to Siguenza) and there you can get anything you need. The entry to the gorge is in the entrance of the village. The room was good size for two. James is a great host and his home made bread is fabulous with the traditional Spanish breakfast. I highly recomend.

“Beautiful tranquil get away place in the mountains”

We loved everything about our stay at Casa Lola. A beautiful location. Very peaceful. The view from our room window was lovely. The walk to the castle ruin was really lovely and the river walk was also lovely. The host, made our stay a pleasant one. We had lovely conversations with him. Very lovely and caring person. Breakfast was very healthy and tasty. We would definitely come back. It was also not far from Sigüenza. Perfect location to recharge. Our time with James (the host) helped us recharge and felt blessed to have met James.

“Home from home”

Our stay in Pelegrina was only made more memorable by the gracious host James, who owns and runs this beautiful property. James is one of the nicest hosts you will come across, and he is very accommodating (no pun intended). We could have just stayed there and talked with him for the entirety of our stay. The small pueblo of Pelegrina is a wonderful little place to get away from everything, while still being very close to Sigüenza (just 12 mins drive) if you want to explore the area and try the local cuisine. The breakfast that James personally serves was a refreshing change from the usual fayre you get at most hotels, with a selection of toasts of different breads and home made cakes, with delicious coffee and juices. We couldn't be more happy with our stay in Pelegrina, and if we are in the area we would not hesitate to book a room here.

We stayed at Casa Lola for one night only, but enjoyed it a a lot! We got a room with a mountain view, absolutely amazing! Also the host Jamie was welcoming and warm, and prepared us delicious breakfast! We´d love to go back and stay longer next time, thanks so much for the wonderful experience!

James is the best host you could ever ask for. He made sure to notify me about the parking situation beforehand (since there isn't much parking space in such a small town). The breakfast was homemade and it tasted amazing, everything fresh, including the orange juice! If you speak English and love disconnecting from the busy hustle of daily life, you'd have loads to talk about with him. We had a wonderful stay, James. Thank you very much!

The host made us welcome and feel like we were long lost friends; the enthusiasm and information about the local area was great.

Spacious rooms in a tiny village. Lovely and welcoming owner who helped us with planning our short stay. The gorge and nearby city are worth a visit! Great breakfast too!

“A very special place only 1.5 hours drive from Madrid”

The location in a small village in the national park was very very special. We were so glad to stay here instead of Sigüenza.

Amazing hospitality by the owner, home made breakfast at a lovely setting. Rooms were very comfortable and had a countryside vibe to it. Wish it wasn't the last day of our roadtrip and could stay longer to explore the surroundings. Will definitely be back at James' house.

“Hidden gem in the middle of old town”

This was one of our best stays, the owner was extremely helpful, very communicative and polite. The house is extremely nice, as well the location. The breakfast was delicious, he served us home prepared food.

Absolutely great, a very quiet village in a beautiful landscape. It is a very nice ancient building with a lot of antiques. The bed was perfect and the silence makes you relax. Parking is easy. I stayed longer than I planned because of the nice atmosphere and great scenery. Coffee is good and breakfast very decent and fresh.

“Wonderful stay in a perfect location”

Everything was wonderful, beginning with the fabulous location. Pelegrina and the Parque Natural del Baranco del Rio Dulce is an absolute gem for everyone searching for spectacular landscapes, great hiking opportunities and wonderful views as well as untouched, authentical, historical sites, just like entire Pelegrina and the sites in Sigüenza. Casa Lola is a very charming, lovingly renovated ancient village house. The rooms are spacious with much attention to detail, the view out of the window pittoresque, the breakfast is perfect, the prices absolutely reasonable and James is a very attentive and friendly host. Thank you for the wonderful stay. The only problem was not being able to stay longer.
