“Brilliant, peaceful stay”

Amazing setting in the rainforest and tea/cinnamon plantations, the environment was incredibly relaxing. The food put on for every meal was delicious, with great variation and typically Sri Lankan. Alli and Edna were amazing hosts, and it was great to sit with them for each meal to learn more about the area. The sunrise kayak along the river and morning hikes were amazing activities that we will remember for many years to come!

This is an amazing place for nature and bird lovers. The owners created a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature in a very comfortable lodge. If you choose the option with the bungalows you even have a big private pool. The vegetarian food is delicious and the owners everything to make you feel "home". Highly recommended!

“A truly authentic experience”

The experience was one of a kind and we can more than highly recommend this amazing lodge. It was our first encounter with SriLanka and the German owners Edna and Alli made us feel home immediately and within no time we felt a deep sense of location and understanding of the lush environment. The lodge is based on true passion and it shows. In the people and community, the amazing local vegetarian food, the comfortable accommodation and all the activities we were able to engage in at the spur of the moment. Hiking through the rainforest and vegetation of the lodge, tasting directly from a cinnamon plant and watching pepper grow, meeting locals as they carry down the harvested tea leaves, a sunrise bike tour through hidden villages, another sunrise canyoning trip down a deserted river with the occasional local fetching sand from the river bottom, then an aryuveda massage and morning and evening aerial or hatha yoga lessons again right at the property. We felt truly part of the family and have been able to experience so much in four days. Thank you Edna and Alli for sharing your amazing life with us. We will be back and will recommend your lodge to everyone.

“Relaxing and carefree gem in the rainforest”

Beautiful and well maintained lodge embedded in the tropical forrest. The bungalow was specious and clean with a private fresh water pool. The stay comes with fullboard (including coffee and tea in the afternoon) which is freshly and regionally prepared every day. Special requests, e.g. vegan or gluten-free food, are catered for without any problems. The activities on offer are highly recommended. In the morning there is the opportunity to explore the rainforest on foot, by bike or kayak with Alli. We booked the kayak tour and can highly recommend it. In the afternoon, Edna gives yoga classes, which are open to all levels of experience. I attended three of her classes and was impressed by her style of teaching, in which she also incorporates aerial yoga. Overall, we can warmly recommend the accommodation, you are well looked after and can relax wonderfully here. Not really a point of criticism, just to clarify: the accommodation is located in the rainforest, so there is a certain amount of humidity and heat during the day, which is why sports activities, for example, have to be scheduled for the early morning. In addition, depending on the amount of rain, clothes, pillows etc. sometimes remain a little damp if the sun doesn't come out properly.

everything is very clean and well organized. Edna and Alli welcomed me so lovely. I travelled alone and was part of a small family there. the four meals per day were awesome!! the location is really good to enjoy the green of the forest and chill out. I participated in a lot of activities which were well organized and simply stunning (kayaking, bicycle tour, hike to a waterfall). we did aerial yoga which was awesome. the aspect of sustainability and fairness was always in the mind of the two hosts.
