“Amazing place with great staff and beautiful views”

What a dreamy place! Already the setting and the courtyard are amazing. The location is peaceful, quiet and looking very beautiful. The room was lovely too. Rustic and clean. The best thing I’ve the room was this big window looking into the mountains. Staid hours looking at the landscape. The same happens on the dining (and breakfast) area: big windows looking into the mountains. A spectacular view. The staff is lovely and helpful. There is also a very nice restaurant opposite if you don’t want to drive to town (as it’s about 5 minutes drive to Payogasta.

“Excellent”

Once we arrived in our room all doubts disappeared. Owner gave a warm welcome and showed us around. Excellent breakfast accompanied by some excellent art. Meal at restaurant across the road excellent Very convenient for our trip

“What a great place in a remote part of Argentina, we loved our short stay”

We loved the old world feel of this place. With the old wooden doors and window shutters and large centre court yard, we loved it. The restaurant was also very rustic but the food was amazingly delicious and the wine was very good too

“Spectacular views and great hospitality”

We loved this small hotel for its location and great atmosphere. The view of the mountains is spectacular. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant across the road that is operated by the owner of the hotel, serves delicious food. Book a room with a view of the mountain - you wont be disappointed!

“Beautiful stay in Payogasta/Cachi”

This place is an absolute gem. The location is beautiful and the breakfast deck has one of the best views you can get in the area. The staff were incredibly pleasant.

The view from the room and from the breakfast area is breathtaking ! The location in itself is very charming, clean and well kept, and breakfast was delicious. We felt very sorry for staying only one night.

Staying at this real functioning estancia was one of the highlights of our trip through South America. Alejandro and Elvira were amazing hosts, who made us feel extremely welcome and treated us like family. The property is amazing, and the views from the dining room are incredible. Comfortable beds, a great shower, and a delicious breakfast in the morning!

The view was phenomenal. Breakfast in front of the mountains. Staff extremely friendly. We had a power cut the whole night we stayed but it didn't bother us as everything was made to make us feel confortable. Wished you could have stayed longer. Very recommendable location

“Being in heaven”

At the suggestion of an Argentinian artist friend, we spent three full days here, which were some of the happiest days of our two-month trip to Argentina. La Sala da Payogasta is a rare find in the northern regions of Argentina. The owners prefer to take care of the building’s origins, and the former adobe finca has a central square with a covered walkway around. The whole complex breathes history. Elvira and Alejandro, the directors, not only gave us a very warm welcome and read our every wish from our lips, they also run an excellent restaurant with first-class wines on offer, and they provided a guide for trekking in the Nevado da Cachi region. The varied breakfast buffet in the large panoramic room offers local produce, the view is breathtaking. Waking up in the morning with a view of the Nevado da Cachi mountain massif is downright intoxicating (some of the spacious rooms, equipped with tiled floors, heating and private bathrooms, offer this unique view, simply ask for avaibility. Those expecting a metropolitan ambience, luxurious hotel furniture and marble floors may be disappointed - those who love character, first-class service and an enchanting atmosphere will not want to leave.

A gorgeous boutique hotel surrounded by the mountains. Perfect for a few days of relaxation. The breakfast was amazing, full of local produce and the restaurant next door also is worth checking out. If you like stargazing this is the place to stay. We spent the evening watching the most beautiful nights sky.

“Colonial style hotel with outstanding view to Andes!”

This hotel was the best surprise to our trip to Argentina! A colonial style hotel with a nice patio, and a room with amazing view to the Andes! Waking up the morning listening to nature, birds, the river and having view to the Cordillera! On top there was a really tasty breakfast with local products and with light jazz music playing on the background! So, if you are planning a trip to Cachi or the area, I totally recommend Sala de Payogasta!!

Thr Finca (property) is very nice, the courtyard and especially the breakfast room are great. Breakfast was really super , with all products of the Finca. The honey was amazing and the the place manager gave us a bit to take away (they do not sell it)

It's a very nice rustic house with a central patio and very spacious rooms. The rooms are simple and nicely decorated. There is a cool restaurant where you can have a bottle of wine or grab a quick bite.
