We had the best time! The bed was perfect and the sheets so soft. We loved it!

“Perfect!”

I was only there for one night but I loved every bit of this hostel...all the usual things missing in other hostels were there...good wifi, solid mattress, prisitne sheets and towel, a light for each bed, plenty of plugs, lockers, good aircon and fans too, a kitchen full of utensils, an open upstairs deck area surrounded by trees, monkeys and birds...this place has been refurbed fairly recently and was a joy after sharing many other dorms in other places with bugs and finding only a teaspoon in their kitchens! The hostel has also retained its old weatherboard features so felt like a real Costa Rican experience and not another generic stay. Best of all were the staff, well, I only got to meet the fur babes, soooo sweet and Charlie...who was about the best host you could want, super chill and friendly, The whole experience was an all round PURA VIDA smile. I'm rating this with a big fat 10/10 and highly recommended a stay.

The staff helped me to coordinate a taxi from golfito to the hotel. He was very professional, puntual and had a brand new car.

Best Hostel in Pavones 10/10

Great place, I met amazing people there! Good surfing vibe, good kitchen, there is an air conditioner at night in the room and full of fans everywhere.

Best Hostel in Pavones !!! All the staff is amazing and very friendly. The room is confortable, well furnished and the bathroom is quite big with hot water 😀. We met so many great peoples during our 10 days stay at Esperanza. Sharing the well furnished kitchen with them was also always a good moment with them. The Hostel is at 3 minutes by foot to the spot of Pavones. You could rent some surfboard also at the Hostel. Bonus : there were 3 little cute puppies dogs, 2 dogs and one cat. So if you are a pet lover this place is heaven. Thanks again 🥰😀, we will come back one day.
