Location in the paul valley is absolutely breath taking. All the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and we felt right at home. We received tips for our hikes, taxi was arranged and the hotel dog joined us on 2 hikes which was really fun. We had dinner here every night and each time was something different but equally amazing!

So kind and helpful staff: organized a transport for us offering much flexibility! We could enjoy Pombas and piscinas naturales on our last day and have our luggages delivered to us together with a private ride to Porto Novo to cath the ferry. When arriving we had our luggage delivered at the stay so we could enjoy the trek from Cova Crater to Casa Cavoquinho, simplifying logistics a lot! This was perfect for our plans. We enjoyed the vegetarian dinner (a fixed menu changing every night...). Beautiful valley and very nice to walk around there at the end of the day and morning. Very kind and helpful owner who provided precious information and support even prior to our trip.

Best stay we had in Cabo Verde! The staff are very friendly and approachable. The room was remarkably clean and tidy on a daily basis. The location is great for walks in Paul Valley, without requiring transportation. To visit other villages on the island you require transports, but the colectivos (shared taxi) run very frequently on week days (we have struggled on Sunday since they run less frequently). There are really good restaurants walking distance in the area. The food served at dinner is amazing! 3 course meal and big portions, all fresh ingredients. Also, great breakfast everyday (fruit juice, coffee, eggs, toast, cakes, jam, yogurt and cereals) The people in Paul Valley are very chilled and friendly, they always great you with a smile 😊 there’s also a small shop around the corner for essentials. The view of the Paul Valley from the property is breathtaking! Casa Cavoquinho is definitely a must in Cabo Verde

If you can stay here, please do! The location is wonderful, a great starting point for many hikes and with a wonderful view over the Paúl valley. All rooms have a good view, but the one at the top is really stunning. The guesthouse is basic but nicely decorated, with sustainable materials and furnitute made by local crafts(wo)men. José and Belem are extremely friendly and helpful hosts, who thought along when our flights were delayed and had a lot of great hiking tips and routes. Dinner is also amazing, served by very friendly staff.

The accomodation and location are very nice. But most of all, the people were very welcoming. Besides the lovely breakfastst and dinners they helped us book tours and gave advice on hikes. The rooms were cleaned every day and were very clean!

Casa Cavoquinho is a wonderful little place with a fantastic view over the Paul Valley. Great base for hikes in the area. Belen & Jose as well as their team are really nice people and very supportive in anything from transport to hiking advice and food. Thanks for the short but great stay!
