Overview
This hotel, opened in June 2013, is situated along the coast in Patreksfjordur, a fishing village in Iceland’s Westfjords. It offers an à la carte restaurant with a bar and daily breakfast buffet. Minimalist design with modern furnishings decorates each Fosshotel Westfjords room. All have a flat-screen TV, blackout curtains and bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy views of either the surrounding mountains or fjord. Wi-Fi access is available at Westfjords Fosshotel. Staff arranges guided hiking, horseback riding and sailing tours. The huge Latrabjarg Cliff, well-known for bird watching, is 60 km away. Raudasandur Beach is 32 km from the hotel, while Dynjandi Waterfall is 97 km away. Restaurants and shops can be found within a 10-minute walk.

“Stay was great. Recommend new shower curtain and including breakfast.”
Staff was great. Breakfast was available and needed to be purchased, but we were still able to get complimentary coffee and tea in the morning.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, clean room and huge enough for two suitcases. Our room had a great sea view. We would recommend it, if you wann to visit Latrabjarg and Raudisandur. It is quite close

“Lovely hotel in a great part of the Westfjords.”
The hospitality of the staff is sublime! The rooms are of comfortable size, with nice beds. You can prepare a cup of coffee or tea in the room, which is a nice addition. Enough storing space as well! The bathroom is large, with enough light. Plenty of towels, and best measurements of the towels 👌

Great location to explore the southern part of the Westfjords. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of a waterfall. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection for a great start to the day. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, as there aren’t too many other options around. Food was super delicious.
