Offering a countryside location just 3 km from Paternò, La Fattoria Dei Nonni offers free Wi-Fi and a Sicilian restaurant using the farm’s vegetables. A true oasis not far from Catania or Etna. Perfect base for a Sicilian vacation. Lovely rooms, great pool with amazing view of Etna. Delicious food. Amazing hosts and service. Definitely a 5-star experience!

“A perfect place.”
La Fattoria dei Nonni is an Agriturismo with a big “A”, in the country area outside Catania. My husband and I (an italo-Danish couple) have been at the “La Fattoria dei Nonni” for two days and we loved it! It is situated strategically close to Catania airport and to Etna valley, from where one can easily access any destination in the North-East Sicily. The rooms and all facilities around are very clean, functional and decorated with attention to the details respecting the history of the place. The view to Etna and to the sunsets from the cozy swimming pool should not to be missed, especially while drinking a glass of wine or, even better, eating one of the many delicious dishes, which are prepared by Francesco, Anna and all the staff with love and passion for traditional Italian (mostly Sicilian) recipes and importantly with local seasonal ingredients. Thank you, Francesco and Angela, for your generosity in welcoming us and all guests. Your genuine wish to give a fantastic time to all your guests is a bless!! You are really kind persons always ready to help any guest if/when needed. We highly recommend this place and we are looking forward to be back next time we will be in Sicily. P.S. Grazie ancora, Francesco, per gli squisiti panini da gustare in viaggio - il pranzo migliore nella piazza di Favignana ;)

“A delightful place to stay”
Our last night in Sicily and we had such a lovely stay. The pool was gorgeous and Francesco brought us delicious fresh squeezed oranges from the farm and cold watermelon while we relaxed on shady day beds. He then recommended a great Pizzeria in nearby Paterno and when we were super early for breakfast due to early flight he brought us the most delicious breakfast with a smile (more of that orange juice, pistachio croissants ham mozzarella fruit bread and homemade jam and great coffee. As we left he hosed down our filthy car and waved us on our way. Honestly we couldn't have asked for more! Oh! and a view of Etna in the distance and fabulous sunset over the pool!

“Lovely views and welcoming.”
Located on the lower slopes of Etna with good views of Etna and lovely far reaching views of the countryside to the south and west. The owners were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are located in little buildings around the site and are quiet and private. The pool was a good size but unfortunately it was too cold to use.

Our best stay in sicily! Francesco is so welcoming and the facilities are great. Large swimming pool, bar, playground. The room was really confortable with the best beds we had in Sicily. Francesco took us for a coffee at 6.00 am on our way to the airport and offerted us some treats as well as fresh fruits to taste. Really welcoming place!

This was the BEST breakfast- the BEST dinner- the BEST ambiance and the MOST FRIENDLY and HEARTHFELT WELCOME of our whole week in Sicily!!! Our host Francesco is so attentive, we have travelled a lot but this really is unique. This is love and enjoyment, in everything you see, eat and experience. These people get up in the morning with one mission: to care for you in all ways they can. The location is really close to the airport but you'd never know. No noise or planes and in beautiful nature. The grounds are phenomenal; the pool is wonderful and the welcome is like coming 'home': so 'real' and personal. Not to forget the FOOD !!! Homemeade; pure and delicious and made from the heart . We ate cactus fruit for the first time :) I only wish we could have had more dinners. They care about bringing healthy high quality food to your dinner table. There is a big garden with their own fruit and veggies, They make their own olive oil, tomatosauce , jam,... it is all soooo good. The hosts Francesco and Angela are the best and this really is the place you should stay (more then 1 night!) before you leave the Island. La fattoria is even more beautiful than the pictures and there are not enough words to describe these beautiful people who go out of their way to accomodate their guests! It is also a great place for kids because there is so much to discover- like one big playground. Heaven on earth, for real. THANK YOU so much for making our visit so special, it really changed our view and feel of Sicily. You are BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ❤!

The property is well situated for Catania region visits. As base for other activities or just to stay and enjoy the wonderful garden and pool area, Fattoria dei Nonni is a great host. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, great breakfast and the dinner is delicious.
