“They canceled our reservations without any warning”

We made a reservation for 2 rooms on March 15th 2025 for a family trip in August driving down the California coast from San Francisco to L.A. when we arrived at the Paso Robles Inn to check in, the receptionist looked confused. She said she had to check with her manager. When she came back, she announced that they canceled our reservation! She invoked they overbooked and then the California fires. This was untrue as the fires were long over and the hotel was full of tourists, some who reserved way after March and not California residents nor firefighters. The manager did not bother talking to me directly so the hotel receptionist was trying her best to contact Booking.com to relocate us. We spend 1.5 hours in the lobby, loosing our winery reservation. We ended up having to book 2 rooms at a different hotel at a higher cost as this was so last minute. Only after we were checked in at the other hotel that ALEXIS, the general manager of Paso Robles Inn decided to call me. She said she was off but still had to make the call, over 2 hours after the situation occurred! She did not seem very concerned invoking again the California Fires as an excuse to cancel our reservations when in fact she canceled our rooms that were at a lower fare since booked over 5 months prior. She offered us free breakfast and usage of the pool at Paso Robles Inn knowing perfectly both of these were provided at our new hotel. I reminded her that this whole canceling thing was unacceptable but nonetheless she could have had the decency to contact us when she decided to cancel our reservation so we could have made different arrangements ahead of our arrival and not miss our winery visit as we were in Paso Robles only for 24 jours. Again ALEXIS, did not seem very empathetic. If this behavior from the General Manager is a reflection of their customer service mentality, I never want to stay at the Paso Robles Inn and I do not recommande it at all.

The hotel is in an excellent location, looking out towards the pretty town square. The room was large and comfortable with a view out over the hotel's garden area. The room facilities were good.

“Beautiful escape in a lovely location”

Fantastic place, lovely staff and very comfortable rooms. Arriving in time for wine tasting was a real bonus!

“Home comforts in Paso Robles wine central.”

Right in the middle of Paso Robles and a two minute walk to all the wine tasting bars and restaurants. The staff said the hotel was refurbished in 2021 but it looks brand new. The rooms are quaint, not huge but beautiful interior decoration. The restaurant and bar are are lovely, staff are super friendly. Multiple vineyards a short drive away and the sister hotel does wine tasting every evening. All round a great little find.

“Fine for a stay en route elsewhere…”

Then newly furnished room was nice, but double beds were small.

Great location close to State St and the beach. Rooms were spacious and ideal for a family stay. Staff were fantastic - really welcoming and helpful.

This is in a great location. Right across the street from the downtown square and park and also walking distance to "Bueno Tavalo", our favorite restaurant there. The room was fine. The bed was fine too.

Great location, in front of the city's main square where there are shops and restaurants. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Fair price. Very well-kept and pleasant outdoor area.
