I had a really good stay at New Land Guest House. The place was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location and peaceful environment. Great value for money

The place is very relaxing surrounded by trees and greenery. It was very quiet there , perfect for a rest. The host is really lovely and helpful . I had Sri lankan breakfast and it was delicious with generous portions.

Close to Pasikudha beach. Caretaker is a very good person. Worthy for the price as a budget room.

“That was great”

The host was lovely, greated us with some delicious lemon juice and also helped us cut some fruits we bought. The room was alright and the fan worked fine.

The place was really comfortable, the room was big even with 3 people inside. Each room has their own balcony which is nice to hang out. You can order food at the guest house it is really tasty and good value for money. One of the beaches is 20 minutes away by walking and the other one 30 minutes. Next to the hotel there is a little shop/ restaurant if you want to eat outside or need water.

Lovely balcony, polite and friendly family business. Raj shared his local knowledge and they loaned me a bicycle which was fun. The palms and trees glow in the sun, emphasising the balcony and bird song. The whole family are good at listening to the guest and tailoring the experience for them.

“Kindness & authenticity”

I stayed at The New Land Guesthouse for 12 nights and I absolutely loved it. Runi and his team are very kind and friendly. Rajee (Runi's son-in-law) was also very nice and helpful; he picked me up from Batticaloa for a reasonable price and arranged a car and driver to take me to Kandy. I felt very safe. I was very grateful for having my room upstairs and I enjoyed the large balcony. The garden is beautiful and I loved watching the wildlife. I had breakfast each morning and had a few lunches when I was around and the food was delicious and the portions were very generous; I felt totally spoiled. As a bonus, I could use a bicycle free of charge to go to Kalkudah beach, which is beautiful. Resorts are not for me as I prefer authenticity and this was the perfect place. I was VERY sad to leave but I'm planning on going back again next year. Thank you so much Runi :)

Everything! The location was perfect - an oasis! The host welcomed us and fed us the most delicious lunch and dinner. We could’ve stayed a few more nights but we had to continue. This place is a gem! Would return in a heart beat. Highly recommended.

It was very good but needed for the toilets of 🔥 hot water and the air conditioning to be Services and what we took the room was not enaff due to room capacity for 6 people the ac BTU 18000 but the air condition was not safition on the room what they gave us. It had to be updated.

Had a good stay here, very friendly staff. You can use a bicycle for free. Breakfast, lunch and dinner freshly made if you want, and served in front of your room

“Nice place for short vacation”

It's a nice, cosy and calm place with the two buidings on the main road. There is no big traffic and the hotel is surrounded by nature. There is a huge beautiful tree in the middle of the yard. The main building is well-decorated, especially the terrace on the 2nd floor. This is the best place with a view and I can highly recommend it. Rooms are simple but very clean. Territory is spacious and also clean. We took the room without AC, and it was not stuffy. There are many animals and home pets, and the peasant homestay or farm is located just behind the hotel. So it would be interesting for small children. Many birds also... They serve fresh and tasty meal. We are vegetarians and ordered fresh curd & fruits for breakfast or lunch. The staff were polite and friendly. Nice hotel, which is worth your money. Rajee can help to solve all your problems.

The family who owns this was very lovely and accommodating.

Exceptionaly helpful owner. Spacious, clean room with convenient terrace. Restaurant service at the place.

Guest house is easy to find. Just by the road to Pasikuda. Has big front yard. So, no problem with parking. Separate entrances to the rooms which is convenient.
