“I just loved it”

For me it was just what I needed and one of my best stays and holidays I ever had, so peaceful and beautiful. I was there for 3 weeks. All the crew and management was so very friendly and they just want to make your stay as pleasant and recovering as possible for you. I just felt like at home, so cosy and relaxed. I loved the room and the whole style, very well done and taken care of everything you need. And anything else you need they provide immediately. We had a amazing view on the sea, if you manage to get one of the rooms on the second floor, but obviously it is also nice to be straight on the ground and both times you have a very nice balcony or terrace.The kitchen was great and the sea is absolutely amazing, beautifully warm and you can really have great swims just in front of the place with a nice beach to read a book and relax in the sun. I will go there next year again. I only can recommend it, if you you want a peaceful stay, I just loved it.

It was completely with nature and staff were very kind and helpful. Location is next to the beach and inside the nature. Delicious food, this is a perfect place for people who loves nature

Around 20m to the beach from cabanas. Its a private beach you could bath in privacy. Spacious, luxury and calm resort. Full of Wild life. Excellent food.

As an individual traveler beyond mass tourism this is a secret wonderful location nestled in nature I have to say…bathing was great in the turquoise water with view to the living reef veggie meals fantastic…ask for coconut sambol

Nice presence by the sea! Great location with a natural setting—nature and the sea all around you. What we liked most was the combination of the natural surroundings and the resort itself. The resort blends perfectly with the location, which is beautiful and fulfilling for nature lovers. The fresh, delicious seafood is a great addition to the experience. Looking forward to being back at the resort soon!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Giman Free Beach Resort. It was an amazing place to relax with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room is huge and very comfortable. The seafoods are delicious. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive always ready to help with a smile. Highly recommend and would come back next time. Thank you Giman Free team.

Isolated beach if somebody wants to enjoy. Good service, and food is fairly ok.

“Bearable”

The place is nicely planned, but it got stuck somewhere on the way. Need very deep maintenance. Everything is old, not maintained, and not clean. It was cleaned by staff, but when something is not maintened thru the years, can not be properly cleaned. Bed was comfy, but on the upper deck we didn't have a beds, but only matresses, We took family room and on the pics looks fantastic, and very connected to nature, but onsite what is true is only that is connected to nature. Beach was dirty, pool is pretty small for that size of the property. The chef was nice and food was very good, but the waiters and other staff don't know their work (waiters are all very young boys, not even properly trained). Waiters didn't speak either English nor Sinhala language, so the communication was very poor.

From beginning to end, we had an excellent stay. Giman Free is certainly a hidden gem. The hotel is environmentally friendly, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The sea here is truly stunning: crystal clear, quiet, and eternally inviting. Excellent views. Big rooms. The staff were great. Very attentive, helpful, and nice. There is nothing terrible to remark. We would love to return and highly recommend it!
