The staff were very friendly and professional throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff were particularly helpful and attentive, ensuring that everything was well taken care of.

Nishanth, the one who welcomed us and managed our stay, was exceptional. He helped with everything we needed and was kind. The rooms were comfortable, though one of the rooms had wonky blinds which was a bit uncomfortable as it was on the ground floor. The breakfast was exceptional! A wonderful spread and very hearty. The beachfront claim is not true though - it is near the beach, less than 2 minutes away, but not directly accessible.

“Brilliant place”

We loved the wildlife, the staff, the breakfasts and tranquility of the place. I wouldn't call it a resort as there is no restaurant, just breakfast which was exceptionally good. We used the resort next door, Laya Waves, for dining and swimming pool, sun loungers etc. The area is quiet and peaceful, with some wonderful colourful birds to watch. We fell in love with this place. Rosie the resident dog was a sweetheart and Rani and the manager (sorry forgot the name 🙈) were so welcoming. We would definitely return, just dont expect a resort. The room was really comfortable, good WiFi and quiet ac. It's actually a couple of minutes walk to Kalkuda beach, Padikuda beach is about a 10 minute walk. Photo is of Pasikuda Beach.

“Best view”

Really loved staying in this place, very calm, clean, beautiful view and slept very well here. Special thanks to Nishantha who was very kind and help full. I had dinner twice across the road in a new place which was great. Very recommended

“A spot by a quiet beach”

The staff on-site were beyond helpful both before arrival and whilst on-site. The room did not have a kettle but after I asked for one, they provided it as well as water (advising not to use water from the room’s tap). They also organised a car (at a fair price) for me to explore Batticoala one morning. Breakfast each morning was different and plentiful. Was also nice to eat with a view of the beach in the distance as well as their garden (with birds and squirrels often to be seen). The room was large, clean but simple. Had strong AC. Shower had hot water. WiFi worked well.

Fabulous staff. Very affordable property set quite a way from the beach. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were cool, quiet and the bed comfy.

Great guest house with lovely owners and staff.Rooms are so comfortable.The breakfasts they serve you on the balcony overlooking beach,the breakfasts are delicous.1 minute walk and your on a lovely beach which you literally have to yourself.On the left of beach is coral reef you can snorkle.Restuarants just short walk away and a 10 minute walk to Pasikuda beach.

“A pleasant stay”

The location of the hotel on the Kalkudah beach was great. We really liked the beach and felt safe swimming there. Kalkudah is so much quieter than Pasikuda, which gets extremely busy with the locals, especially in the late afternoon. Our room was large and the bathroom was adequate. We had plenty of storage space and we got everything we needed from Nishanta, who kindly provided us with an airer for our balcony and a kettle for our room. The balcony had a sea view and it was a pleasant place to relax and watch the cows walking along the beach, and the goats grazing in the garden. The breakfasts were good and they were able to provide me with an alternative to bread and rice. It was easy to rent a scooter at Nature's Huts which is near by. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and it was an excellent value for money.

The staff’s attentiveness made the whole experience feel effortless and luxurious. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and feel truly cared for.
