“A quiet life”
We arrived at the property at our scheduled time and Andrea our host was there to greet us. She spoke no English but with the help of google translate we got over that slight hiccup The house was welcoming and inviting. Normally Andrea does not supply bedding and towels to her guests but as we were unable to bring our own she was more than happy to assist. In addition when we arrived and enquired where there was a laundry she explained there was nothing available locally but she was happy to do our laundry for us. The house is only a short distance from the beach, and although we did not visit, the opportunity to be able to walk and drive along the Rambla was excellent We visited Atlantida and other costal towns and we also dove inland to visit Minas. It was something of a surprise to find the metalled road stopped after a few miles inland and we on an unmade , but very serviceable road. We had a great week in Parque Del Platte, and Andrea our host was a delight. She shared affectionate hugs when we left telling us to come and stay next time we are in Uruguay
