Overview
Overlooking Lake Simpele, this countryside property is within 10 minutes’ drive of Parikkala. It provides guest rooms, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Guests can rent bikes, canoes and motor boats. All of Hotel Laatokan Portti’s room options feature a TV, fridge and coffee maker. Guest rooms have either a private bathroom or shared facilities. A daily breakfast buffet can be ordered. Open during summer, the restaurant offers varied lunch and dinner menus including salmon, steaks and chicken. A fish market is located next to the hotel for those that wish to prepare meals themselves. Lake Simpele is popular for swimming and fishing. Fishing equipment is available for rent on site, and snow mobile rental can be arranged. Staff are happy to help organise guided hiking trips and other activities. Punkaharju is within 30 minutes’ drive of Laatokan Portti, while Imatra is 45 minutes’ drive away. KonKaSki Ski Centre, 12.5 km away, has downhill slopes and cross-country ski trails.

“Friendly service near the Parikkala sculpture park.”
The place was really close to the Parikkala Sculpture Park. There was also a fish smokehouse and a fish shop in connection with it. A coffee maker and a kettle were found in the room. There was a microwave in the hallway.

I have never met such friendly and accommodating hosts! They were super nice, made me a packed breakfast because I was leaving early, and were always available to help. The place is very idyllic and beautiful. Kiitos paljon!!

“Great local and calm accommodation by the lake offering fish delicacies for breakfast and purchase”
the accommodation was lovely and calm! the location by the lake and the personal, friendly approach of the owner is just great; morning swimming was great even though pretty refreshing :) moreover, you can enjoy and buy their local delicacies including smoked salmon, salmon fish cakes, etc., we also ordered the breakfast which is fully local too (including the smoked fish, home baked bread, oat porridge, etc.); parking is just at the accommodation

“Nature beauty, cozy and friendly place to stay!”
This place is unique by it’s beatiful location by the lake but especially the amazingly friendly host!! This is no luxury place but a cozy, clean and a friendly place. The auhtentic 70 style of the room should be used in marketing! Loved it. Even though during winter there is no breakfast the host arranged it to us in the 2 bedroom+lounge+kitchen (in which we were upgraded). Wonderful breakfast with freh fish delights!

Beautiful location and very nice breakfast. I was arriving much later by my bike and owner was very friendly and waited for me. This was really nice stay during my bicycle trip.

Excellent location for wildlife watching in the area. Home cooking very good (based on fish, as fish-supply is the company's main business).
