The cactus garden is very nice and relaxing. The decor is cheerful. The shared kitchen was pleasant. The king size bed was comfortable and the mini-split kept background noise minimized.

Location was great. On the highway making it easy to find but very very little road noise during the night as it is set back far enough. Lovely garden areas, places to sit and a basic kitchen and eating area if you want to make your own food. Off season no one is around really but still felt safe and secure as a solo traveller. Lovely room and good a/c and/or fan. Comfy bed and good quality towels and linens

“Rancho Muy Especiale!!”

Wow wow wow. This sure is a beautiful place to stay. Dozens of lovely details. Fantastic room (beware your head, doors are low!) with huge bathroom, cozy patio. Hummingbirds and other birds swirling around. They also have peacocks. Sheer paradise.

“Easy to find and very quaint”

Very quaint atmosphere with lots of shady areas to sit.

The stay was ok. Room and ranch a well-kept and clean. The ranch itself is restored with much attention on detail, keeping the old style. In particular in the outside area, this worked quite well. In the room itself, it created some flaws. There is also a common area inside (including a kitchenette) and a barbecue area outside. The location is a bit outside the city center, it’s good to have a car. Also, there is a busy street close to the ranch, it’s good to bring earplugs when you are noise-sensitive.

We wanted to have a location to see the grey whales on the pacific coast. So it was quite a functional decision but we actually loved staying here. It’s so different and beautifully designed. We cooked both nights in the kitchen. San Ignacio itself is a lovely oasis.

The facility is out of town, you have to take the car to move around.

We loved the amazing little two story accommodation we were allocated. In hindsight we would have requested to see the other room available with air conditioning as it was very hot. But our daughter loved all the details and there was some beautiful Mexican artisan works. We loved seeing the peacocks and horses in the paddock.

Perfect overnight stopover for us traveling through Baja! William was very informative, a gracious host, and quick to respond to a water hiccup. My husband had to mind the original door heights in spots, but otherwise the restored rancho was delightfully charming! Recommended!

“Best stay in Baja California!”

I had the most amazing time at Rancho Espinoza. The owner Willy is really friendly and took time to show me around the village and brought me hiking. He also organizes a kayaking tour in the mangrove which is highly recommended. The house is very confortable and has everything you need to cook and feel like at home. It is also beautifully decorated. Also there are a lot of beautiful birds coming to drink water on the terrasse. I saw a humming bird several times.

There is no breakfast , but you can use the kitchen . There is a coffee machines be . Loved watching the hummingbirds on the terrace. Lovely restaurants in San Ignacio , try La Huerta at the hotel .

No breakfast was provided. However there was a full kitchen available with all utensils, cutlery, dishes (and in excellent condition). The host, William, was friendly, knowledgeable and sincere in his desire that we enjoyed his property. He succeeded

The owner was extremely helpful. The kitchen was good, well equipped and if you didn’t want to cook for yourself lots of food options nearby. Lots of birds to watch and a nice walk by the springs.
