“A magical stay in an old Manor House in the heart of the old town of Paraty, highly recommended”

The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is a beautiful Manor House, with comfortable rooms and beautiful inner yard with swimming pool, also the communal sitting rooms are beautiful and decorated with some antique furniture (ask a staff member to give you some insights). It is perfectly located in the old town. I have only superlatives about this property!

This pousada has wonderful staff and oozes real charm, that simply cannot be replicated or copied. You are staying in a real piece of history. The common areas are stunning and the rooms are comfortable enough. A great breakfast is included too, with a brilliant location, right in the thick of it.

Great location, lovely staff and beautiful old building with a lovely garden and pool. Room was big and comfy. We liked our stay and I'll probably come back.

“Amazing historic Pousada”

Probably the best location in Paraty as right in main historic square. The Pousada is an attraction in itself: beautiful, historic mansion with a lot of indoor and outdoor space for relaxation. Old wood floors, furniture. Fantastic swimming pool: clean, well maintained, water cool but not cold. Rooms are basic, but I understand this is part of the charm of staying in a place like this. There is no glass in the windows, so light sleepers better bring ear plugs. Beds comfy. Spacious bedroom and shower with right pressure and hot water. Breakfast was adequate: a missed a piece of cucumber and tomato to put on my bread. Coffee could have more intense taste. Overall loved staying in the place. Highly recommended.

A beautiful historic guest house located in the heart of old town. The Pousada features an amazing collection of antiques that have been carefully curated to create a warm and welcoming environment. The room was spartan but pleasant. The staff were really helpful and welcoming.

The location was perfect … in the old town and easy to walk to restaurants and the little “harbour” and river bobbing with colourful boats … gorgeous old building with loads of character. The breakfast was good.

Paraty and it’s surroundings are insanely beautiful. The stay at Pousada da Marquesa was magical. The staff is very friendly, the building like stepping into another era (in a positive way!), wish we could have stayed much longer! Obrigado por tudo. Esperamos voltar um dia!

“Great hotel, mixing tradition and style”

Very clean room, bedding and towels. Delicious (and healthy!) breakfast with great variety of fruits, hot meals and cakes. Friendly staff, always eager to help.
