Reitoral De Chandrexa offers a restaurant service to its guests on request. The owner can prepare a full menu including dessert and wine, using fresh produce from the vegetable garden, as well as free-range meat for non-vegetarian guests. A canoe-rental service is available at the house for guests wishing to navigate the nearby Río Sil River. The surroundings of Reitoral De Chandrexa are ideal for outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and kayaking. Reitoral de Chandrexa is such a relaxing place. It's in the middle of the Sin Canyon in Ribeira Sacra and close to Parada de Sil. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with a hot, powerful shower. Xurxo is the perfect host. His organic food is cooked to perfection. We had breakfast (€8pp) and dinner (€18pp) on both days, which was just bliss. We did the most beautiful hike in this area and really enjoyed our time here. The 700 years old chestnut tree is a short walk from Reitoral de Chandrexa and worth seeing.

Beautiful renovated old building. The organic garden, chickens, pigs, dog and donkey. So peaceful atmosphere. The dinner is simple with self produce ingredients, so tasty. One of the best memories in Spain.

“Rural, charming, in-nature, quiet, relaxing.”
The property was in a very rural area - but that was exactly what we were looking for. The building was rustic and full of charm, and if you like pets then the owners two dogs and two cats are very sociable. There are plenty of walks locally, but you will need a car to get you around. The owner is helpful and friendly, and was an excellent host. Breakfast is simple but all homemade, and there is an evening meal available if pre-arranged. Wifi is available, and is excellent. This is a quiet and beautiful part of Spain, and we were not disappointed with any aspect of our stay, and would readily return if we toured this area of Spain again.

“Fabulous stay”
We had a fabulous two night stay whilst hiking in the area. Our room was north facing making it cooler which was great as the weather was hot and humid. The large bed was comfy, shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. We had breakfast and dinner both days. Dinner was fabulous, highly recommended and great value.

“A magical place”
The place is magical. It is far up on the mountains of Galicia Spain. The owner has a beuatiful vegetable farm on the side.

fantastic property with very comfortable and clean rooms with loads of character. the grounds were great and it was very quiet. plenty of parking for our motorbikes and the host was brilliant, cooking aid a delicious 3 course meal with ingredient’s from their garden and wine to match!! would recommend!
