“Very Good”
Very nice location close to the River Sil Canyon with view several view points in the area. Very nice room with the heating and nice bathroom. Good view from the room. Staff very nice. Good internet connection. There is a little kitchen in the reception area and fridge which you can use. Public parking is available around the property.

“Little Gem in Ribeira de Sacra”
My sister and I loved Casa O Torgal! We came to Parada de Sil in August when it was super hot. The hotel is in a lovely old stone building and is really cool inside even in 35C weather. The rooms are spacious and clean; the kitchen is well-stocked and there is a large and comfy lounge. The owner was very kind and gave us lots of recommendations for walking and swimming. Overall we loved Ribeira de Sacra: the scenery, food and hospitality were incredible. We highly recommend Casa O Torgal.

“Great location, basic accommodation for a short stay”
The location, right in the centre of the village, was outstanding. From here it's so easy to reach some fascinating places by car, including local monasteries (active and ruined), ancient burial sites, take a boat trip through the gorge, and see some amazing mountains. Our favourite view of the fantastic gorge was actually walking distance from the hotel, though, at the Balcones de Madrid. We are vegetarian and found the staff in the bar were happy to provide us with information about the ingredients in their dishes and there were plenty of tapas options for us. (We speak Spanish, so asking for this information was not difficult, I can't remember whether the menu was translated into English, or not). There's another restaurant next door which also offers some vegetarian options, although we didn't eat there in the end. Car parking was in a field that serves as the village car park, a short distance away. We left some of our (non-valuable) belongings in the car overnight and felt safe doing that. Our room was clean, although basic, and was lovely and light in the morning.
