The hosts made the experience. They create a friendly and warm environment for all of their guests and took their guests out for dinner to their favourite restaurants. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was excellent and showers were good.

We arrived as paying guests and left as friends. Didi and Nanthi were lovely hosts and we enjoyed chatting to them during our stay. They offered a good breakfast daily and drinks were available each evening from 1700. The room exceeded our expectation and the location was convenient for us. Hire car or motorbikes available for rent.

Nanthi & Didi are some of the warmest hosts I’ve had the good fortune of meeting on my various travels. Their little slice of paradise, Ocean Lodge, is tucked away in a quiet corner of west Langkawi, a few minutes away from the airport, main tourist strip, and the Telaga harbour. Ocean Lodge is a labour of love, with Nanthi & Didi maintaining a beautiful vacation stay. I’m returning later this month, and can highly recommend this place to Langkawi’s visitors.

“Just delightful”

Nanthi and Didi were the most welcoming hosts, friendly and enthusiastic. From the minute we arrived we felt valued and Didi gave us lots of really useful information about things to do, restaurants etc. We hired a scooter from them for two days which made seeing the island so easy. On our last night they organised a minibus to take all the guests with them for a wonderful sunset dinner in a paddy field restaurant. We really felt like family. Breakfasts were simple but delicious, Nanthi's scrambled eggs are fabulous! It may not have the amenities of a larger hotel but who needs that when you have a clean comfortable room and excellent hosts who really care about their guests. Highly recommend!

I love staying at places that provide home atmosphere and careens. Hosts, Didi and Nanthi, are very caring people. Didi gives a lot of information about things to see, places to eat, and activities to do. You do not spend your time to figure out what to do, you just do. That made our holidays fulfilled, so we could experience all the opportunities of Langkawi. We loved the place and we loved hosts. Real respect for making the best for the guests!

What a great place! Feels good right from the first moment, being welcomed by Didi and Nanthi. Location is superb, close to airport and convenient for getting anywhere on the island, 10 steps from a good restaurant. Villa itself is lovely and cozy, small garden and place to sit and chill in the evening. Room is spacious, clean and has everything you need. Breakfasts were awesome with fresh fruits. But the real marvel are hosts, who can help with anything and take such a good care of you that you want to stay for longer and then come back again and again. Loved Ocean Lodge, highly recommended.

“Fabulous guesthouse and fabulous hosts”

The proprietors, Didi and Nanthi, are wonderful hosts. From the moment I arrived I felt like I had come home. I've been travelling for 3 months and Ocean Lodge is the best place I've stayed. if you are the type of traveller who would rather not stay in a big hotel, make your way to the Ocean Lodge. The rooms are super cozy, the bed is so comfortable, not too hard and not too soft, the location is quiet. You hear birds chirping in the morning rather than road traffic noise. Breakfast is prepared to the customer's taste; eggs, omelets, toast and Swiss style meusli. Hammocks in the garden for relaxation. Didi also rents scooters for transportation. I have no hesitation to recommend Didi and Nanthi's Ocean Lodge; when/if I return to Langkawi there's no other place I want to stay. Friends for life!!!

Such a friendly welcoming place to stay. Super clean and lovely garden. Excellent value for money. It felt like we were part of Didi and Nanthi’s family. Omelette for breakfast I will never forget. Very close to airport and to Telega harbour if going to Koh lipe. Will be returning next week for more happiness.

We spent only one night in the Ocean Lodge on our way from SG to Koh Lipe - and it was a very good experience. The owner, Didi, a German who came here more than a decade ago and his Thai wife are a very friendly couple and they clearly strive for making your stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are clean and have a well working AC. Bathroom have everything you need, incl. A hot shower, shampoo & towels. A minor problem with the water tap was fixed immediately. Breakfast was tasty and the omelette was great, same as the Bircher musli Rudi prepared. For general breakfast expect a selection with toast, butter, jam, coffee, tea, orange juice. We did not try or ask for Asian breakfast, but I guess there must be options if you ask the day before. Clearly another plus for the lodge: The location is great for those traveling to or coming from Koh Lipe. The airport is a 7 RM Grab ride (10 min) away, same as the Telaga Pier where the boats to Koh Lipe are leaving (10 min). You can enjoy the breakfast at the lodge and still catch the boat to Koh Lipe leaving at 9:30 am. There is a restaurant just a 5 min walk away, which I reviews in Google Maps as well. If you just need a cold beer or some cold soft drinks in the evening, you can get those at the lodge. In summary it was a great stay and next time we do a stopover on Langkawi, we will come back here.

Ocean Lodge! An amazing little oasis run by a wonderful couple, Didi & Goy. A friend told me about this B&B lodging as I was looking for a quiet and clean place to stay. I was amazed at a lot of things upon my arrival and Ocean Lodge as it met all my expectations! Firstly, it is less than 7 mins from the airport! Secondly, oh wow! Didi & Goy greeted me upon my arrival. They were so warm and welcoming, It just felt like going home and being with family. My room is big, spacious, and clean. The bathroom is clean and spotless. Overall, the room is great and also smells good. The bed is of a quality mattress and I had a good night's sleep. I love the peacefulness and quietness of this lodging. They also have a small sitting area outside of each room. Ocean Lodge has High-Speed WiFi, Ceiling Fan, AC, Water Heater, Fridge, Satellite TV, and more. It made it easy for me as I need good internet speed for my work online. and a quiet room to take my conference calls. Perfect! The Breakfast was very delicious! Special Goy's Omelette made by Goy. Didi joined me during breakfast time and gave me information about Langkawi and activities to do and places to visit. I directly booked a Mangrove Tour and that was also another amazing experience. The owners are superbly friendly and helpful but also respect your space for privacy. They have a beautiful garden with a Gazebo with 2 hammocks. I enjoyed a cool drink and did some reading on the hammock as it was such a lovely evening. This small little oasis also provides Scooter for rent if you do want to ride around Langkawi. There are also quite a few good restaurants within walking distance from the lodging so I didn't have to travel far for food. My stay was short as I was transiting over to Thailand, but I will definitely come back for a longer stay. I would highly recommend Ocean Lodge if you are looking for a quiet and serene place to stay, convenient and CLEAN!
